As a seasoned player, making spaghetti bases feels harder than making neat ones Posted: 11 Apr 2021 08:39 PM PDT I love the way spaghetti bases look, and after joining a few public multiplayer games to get a look at other people's designs I was inspired to let loose and just build without a care in the world. Soon after starting up a fresh game though, I found the constant disarray exhausting and was being pulled back into the comfort and structure of the square, boring, main bus design I've always used. Anyone else feel this way, if so do you have any tips to overcome it? [link] [comments]

Looking for an old blog/post about the Factorio prototype Posted: 12 Apr 2021 03:43 AM PDT I remember seeing the early graphics, potentially talk about the tech used at the time, and so on. Where was that? I've tried going through the Blog thinking it might've been a reflection on the beginnings when 1.0 came out, but nope. Any tips for finding that would be great! Posted: 12 Apr 2021 08:49 AM PDT I really have no idea what's going on here. I've got my power armor MK2 and 2 fusion reactors powering my armor. I only have one battery MK2 because I have 2 fusion reactors, but my 6 exoskeletons aren't working. The battery is full and the belt immunity equipment works but I'm walking super slow. I reloaded an auto save from ten minutes ago and they worked. I reloaded the save ten minutes after that auto save and they don't work. I reload the auto save and play from there and ten minutes later they stop working. Does anyone know what's going on? TLDR: exoskeletons suddenly stop working even though I have full battery. Edit: never mind I'm just retarted. [link] [comments]
What's the deal with the greenhouses from the greenhouse mod? Posted: 12 Apr 2021 03:47 AM PDT To produce wood with a greenhouse you need water and another thing, that another thing requires one wood yo craft. So i am crafting one wood for one wood? Am I missing something about this mod? [link] [comments]

A mod idea for the Nefrums v Anti challenges Posted: 12 Apr 2021 06:56 AM PDT I've quite enjoyed Anti vs Nefrums challenges seeing them against each other for non-ideal scenarios and whatnot. I saw their latest one was modded for very random crafting recipes, and a thought occurred. Some mods make the water pump require a power source to operate. I was wondering how they would fair if all the belts/splitters/undergrounds required power in order to move. This would make base building a bit more inconvenient since you can't simply outpost a kilometer away and still have proper flow, as well as giving increased requirements for having plenty of power poles for internal and external base building. I'm no master of ideas and have the coding skill of a Neanderthal, but think it would make for interesting content for our speedrunning friends. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Apr 2021 06:28 PM PDT I know that this is an odd question and observation, but I started a new base the other day and made 2 observations: 1) A burner inserter will operate 6 swings before needing fuel. 2)A burner inserter can fuel itself and remove coal from burner miner, but can not fuel itself from a burner furnace. I was just wondering why it could fuel from the miner and not the furnace. [link] [comments] |
