    • Fixed various issues related to how chat tags are open. more
    • Fixed that replays would break after winning the game. more
    • Fixed that listbox would loose focus when clicking on other widgets that can't be focused anyway.
    • Fixed GUI crash when furnaces would select recipes that have more products than it's output inventory size. more
    • Fixed that fluids could be purged from the whole fluid system in certain cases. more

    Modding

    • Added defines.prototypes which contains all prototype type names (eg: defines.prototypes.entity = { container, furnace, assembling-machine, ... })

    I have several trains traveling long distances (not crazy long, just standard "long".) When a train is on one of these long tracks, any other train will wait to travel behind it. So, I've add a rail signal here and there so they can at least get started.

    Rather than test this first, I thought I'd ask, what if I just laid out 100 rail signals along that track? Would it cause all the trains just to speed along practically right behind each other? Or is it just a bad idea?

    Looking for a balancer that jumbles two lanes evenly

    With that I mean that at the end Id find every product on over side of each lane. As you can see red science for example always will be at the left side of the belt never on the right.

    Im looking for a balancer that totally mixes the lanes

    Will VPN help with reducing lag in the multiplayer game?

    Hello,

    I am trying to setup a multiplayer session between two players: (St. Louis <=> NYC)

    We tried hosting on both sides - in both cases it was very slow (it was lagging for the remote player really badly).

    Both are very good computers with good connection speeds - is Factorio just not very good with Multiplayer games and latency over public internet?

    Would installing a VPN (i.e. hamachi?) possibly help with the extreme lag in the MP game?

    I love the game but not sure what to do so I don't lose interest

    As the title says, I love the game but I don't know what to do so I don't lose interest in the game, I have a few mods to add stuff etc but it takes quite long and I get bored of my saves by the time I've got cars and stuff because I struggle to find what to do next, I wanna make trains and auto loaders/unloaders but I barely know much about the trains in the game (and yes I've watched youtube tutorials) and I wanna like have the biters easy at the beginning but get alot harder when I have base defences (I can seem to barely get enough pollution to evolve them and I don't wanna kill them all and have no threats), does anyone have any ideas on what to do that could help me? Thanks

    Steering signals - need some help.

    Hello,

    I'm catching signals at factorio, I need some help.

    I'm using KatherineOfSky building train, and want to modify some signals. At original tha station is ON when any of requested good is below 0. (lead by green wire)

    I want add one more condition. If in junk boxes are any goods I need station to be ON too. I connect junk boxes to red wire.

    So i choose Arithmetic combinator and set inputs to "GREEN OR RED" and output to YELLOW.

    Then set STATION TURN ON/OFF when YELLOW >0

    But it doesnt work.

    How can I do it propetly?

    Returning Player Advice

    Looking to play again. Last time I played was 2017, nuclear power/research overhaul update.

    Any advice/tips for a returning player? I wasn't a pro, but I could launch a rocket eventually, have a decent main bus and trains for mining outposts.

    Any recommended mods that are QoL (autofill for e.g.) or improve the game in a natural way (no bobs&angels, too unnatural)? I've seen space exploration and Krastorio 2 recommended for the latter?

    Any good map settings for the following;

    - Have to eventually use trains

    - Enemies are an actual threat. It feels like you've gotta make ground against them. My memory of enemies was you'd either die within an hour or they'd be irrelevant.

    Good resources to lookup basic ratios for throughputs without getting too spreadsheety. Basic things like how many furnaces does a belt support etc. Or how to correctly take from a bus etc.
