I'm the Developer of Factorio Ratio Calculator Posted: 04 Oct 2020 01:40 AM PDT I just woke up and saw that someone had gotten a Screen Capture permission request from my app I appreciate people pointing out potential malware, but in this situation I have no idea about why that permission would appear. Here are the permissions listed on Google Play: This app has access to:
I don't see anything about Screen Capture, and if there was, I'd want to remove it. I'm a relatively new android developer, and this is my first and only app written i Flutter. So there might be something that I've done incorrectly. But I think I can motivate why it needs those permissions that are listed on Google Play: There is a feature in the app that lets you import json files with datasets of recipes. This is ment to let you (with some work) use the app for modded recipes. That's why it needs to read your storage, since when I tested, you couldn't copy paste files that big into the app. You had to click the Share With App button on the file which requires Read Storage Permissions. Internet access is used for AdMob, Googles Ad service. I'd love to get some help on how i can remove that permissions that you saw, but I don't know what to do since I can't see it on the Google Play page. /Ogg [link] [comments]

PSA: Using your train like a Zorro's horse Posted: 03 Oct 2020 03:04 PM PDT You can find your train on the map, click it to bring up it's schedule/map, and Crtl click on a rail nearby you to bring it to you. This is what a "temporary stop" is. You must quickly switch it to manual after it arrives, as it waits only 5 seconds before moving to the next item in the schedule. This allows you to send it away to a reloading station and call it back later when you need more supplies or a ride, or if you've wandered a long way from it and are ready to head home for a nap. [help] Weird display glitch on ultrawide monitor Posted: 03 Oct 2020 11:50 PM PDT Hey fellow engineers, does any of you ever experienced weird display glitch on UHD monitor? It's hard to describe, but when I'm moving with my character, there is something like tearing or lag. It fells like its skipping some frames. Below I tried to capture it, but its hard to see(most visible on buildings-belts), its very subtle, yet when I play longer than 10 minutes it's unplayable. Glitch It happens ONLY when I'm moving, most visible when I'm moving in both x and y directions. When standing still, everything including animations is smooth and as beautiful as it should be. Tried to mess with with graphics settings = no change. V-Sync turned on in nvidia control panel. When played on notebook display, everything seems ok, when same notebook connected to this monitor, glitch appears. Same glitch since 0.17 -> 1.0 Tried another(different) UHD monitor from my roommate = same glitch Tried to turn off all mods = no change Im selling notebook this month, and I cannot conquer Nauvis and enslave all of its population on my PC with this UHD monitor :( [link] [comments]
