Factorio Literally unplayable. Dear wizards of Wube, can you please make first button on the title screen active, so i can just press "enter" and get on with it. Every time i start the game i try to continue by hitting enter, sadly nothing happens and i need to look for mouse.

creative mods, which ones are good, and such

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 08:20 AM PDT

so i have played around with mods a lot, but that were back in 1.17. now i don't know what to choose for making my "blueprint making and testing stuff" world. i have looked a bit on the diffrent mods in the launcher, and i can't find what im looking for.

    what im looking for is:

    - a mod that makes blueprints "plop" in and out of the world when i place/deconstruct them. i have had a mod like this, that were a part of a creative mod.

    - infinite chests, pipes, powergenerator (i think there is one that makes like 50GW), power eater (to test power producing setups), item void, and fluid void.

let me know any tips you might have and ofcourse your suggestions.

    may the trains miss you.

Need advice retooling my factory while under attack

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 08:15 AM PDT

I have a fun one where i created my own weird death world of max starting area size with max biter sliders and honestly got lazy and made my factory kinda poorly. Now im under attack with massive waves of blue biters every 2 1/2 minutes give or take a minute and cant leave my defensive perimeter without being caught in a attack and killed.

I would sally forth with my tank but honestly it just dies too fast to massed spitters. So now im racing for artillery before my iron depletes in roughly 3 hours by my math. In order to do this i need to redo everything involving my conveyer belts because i got a bit split happy and my science is 3 splits deep. Issue is power is literally a split of a split of a split of a split that has 4 more splits off its end feeding stuff (Dont ask me why i did it that way, i dont have any excuse short of sheer laziness). So yeah my worry is that while redoing the factory i mess with the weird balance i got and cut power and become biter chow.

Tldr: my factory is under attack constantly and im running out of resources and cant expand. In order to survive i need to fix my belts but am worried i cant do it without breaking power and need ideas of how i can redo literally my entire belt system while under attack and also keeping my power up and running.

Edit: should have mentioned i am entire boiler power with at least 30 boilers powered off a red coal belt

    Help making full blue belts

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 12:25 AM PDT

I haven't played much in the last year or so, but now that 1.0 is out I'm making new designs and the new 45/s blue belts are driving me crazy. I'm doing G/R/B circuits for a large project and no matter what I do I can't consistently produce a 100% full belt, eventually there is always a little gap, even after adding a couple extra machines to the end of the line and over supplying resources. I'm using green and red inserters (reds seem to be keeping up fine, they are on the supply side). I think the issue is the arm swinging back to the machine while there is an open space, but I'm neither 100% sure that is the case nor am I sure how to go about fixing it (I'm thinking combinator bullshit; read the belt some tiles ahead and enable if <8 or something).

    Anyone have a solution?

I would be needing some production of objects like resistors or transistors

Any good videos on beginning a factory?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 07:30 AM PDT

Hi all, just completed the tutorial and quickly found that I was starting off with only a few resources and by the time I had built things out I was struggling, is there any good videos or guides on how I should start off my build and how things should generally be ordered and arranged as I didn't even think about having a big smelting factory until I saw the tutorial one so just looking for something that will help me get started on my first main game the correct way so I don't struggle after a while and have to redo it all :)

So far my structures are a mess and probably too close together so by the time I realise I probably needed 10 circuit board makers instead of the 3 I had I have zero room and didn't fancy redoing everything.

    Thanks
