Are there any mods that add more realistic stuff about electricity? Posted: 13 Jun 2020 02:42 AM PDT I'm looking for a mod that adds stuff like different voltage levels (requiring transformers and/or whole transformer stations), power losses over distance, inverters to tie solar panels into the grid, possibly even rectifiers for some use cases, or god forbid even active, reactive and apparent power levels. Is there such a mod? If so, how big of a UPS hit can I expect? [link] [comments]
Factorio Planner - Updated to v18 Posted: 13 Jun 2020 04:58 AM PDT https://factorio-planner.web.app/ What's new :

I love the new electric mining drill graphics Posted: 12 Jun 2020 03:46 PM PDT I've been seeing some posts against the new graphics so I just wanted to make sure there were also posts for the new graphics. I think they accomplish exactly what the devs intended, now it looks like an array of machines chewing up the planet and spitting the resources on to the belts. I don't have any issues seeing the belts or power poles or anything, and just love their beefy, solid, destructive vibe. [link] [comments]
Allow Q when hovering over crafting icon to pick ghost. Posted: 12 Jun 2020 02:41 PM PDT Sometimes I want to build a single building using the bots but I don't have it in my inventory. Now I have to find it somewhere so that I can press Q to get the ghost. This feels to me like it should be pretty simple to implement and could safe quite some effort. [link] [comments]
Looking for crafting spreadsheet Posted: 13 Jun 2020 05:36 AM PDT So a problem I always have when planning is figuring out what components need to go where, so I'm looking for a spreadsheet that lists all items organized by what components they take to craft so I can see that items X, Y, and Z all take gears, green circuits, and steel plates. Posted: 12 Jun 2020 03:59 PM PDT Yes I know about bottleneck but it's not as integrated as native. [link] [comments]
(New Player) What should my first world generation be like? Posted: 13 Jun 2020 07:21 AM PDT Should I have everything maxed out? Im pretty worried that I'll run out of resources. Should I make my world set to island or railworld? What's a good first world for someone who's still learning? [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Jun 2020 03:59 AM PDT I am decided to try and convert my main boss base into a train base and I have recently set up my iron and copper smelting. I want to start producing green circuits and red science but I'm not sure how I will distribute my iron and copper without having loads of trains clogging up my iron and copper producing areas. I'm not going for some crazy big base but I am trying to reach 50spm. How should I go about distributing resources by train? [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:59 AM PDT Hello, I was thinking of going back to the game, it's been a while, but I can't manage to understand how different will the infamous 1.0 be from current version ? It seems like everything is already inclueded ? or am I wrong? Is it even worth waiting ? [link] [comments]

In game statistics and tool tips units Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:33 AM PDT I'm kind of bothered by that the tool tip for belts is in items/s, inserter in degree/s and for pumps fluid/s but the in game statistics is in item/min (being able to switch that would be nice). I also think that degree/s isn't a good value, rotations/s would be better I think. For 1.0 I would wish for the ability to limit the statistics to a defined part of the factory. That would make it easier to design as you approach the limits of the fluid system. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:22 PM PDT I don't know if this already exists but a cool mod or update was if you could research reusable rockets and unlock a landing pad building or something and after a rocket launch it would return 75/80% of the rocket parts [link] [comments] |
