Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:42 AM PST So, I got my brother Factorio for Christmas. He's been addicted and playing non-stop since. He was running around trying to find Crude Oil to get Sulfur. Then found Uranium ore.. This is where the funny bit began. He grabbed an electric mining drill, and placed it on the uranium. "Why isn't it working?" "Do you have power?" "No..." *Runs power over* "It still isn't working." "Look at it." *Opens the drill and sees "Mining Fluid: Sulfuric Acid"* "Do I need to make that?" "Mhmm" "Ugh" *Still hasn't found crude oil* *Finds crude and gets attacked by biters* About an hour later, and one spaghetti system of belts and pipes, he now has uranium, and crude oil about 20 chunks away from his base. He will learn. For the factory must grow. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:46 AM PST As a new player, is it a good idea to search the internet for ways to optimize productivity, i.e., does it take anything away from the experience of my first game? [link] [comments]
Best options for Angels Refining Posted: 01 Jan 2020 12:05 AM PST Hi all, I have been playing Bob's & Angels for a while and have gotten up to sorting Purified sorting but am now looking for better options to produce ores other than Iron & Copper for my first megabase. I am looking at Slag Slurry and Thermal Water. Does anyone have any suggestions or can offer any guidance on what the best option is with the most yield and little output other than ore. Any current blueprints you'd like to share would be great too. [link] [comments]

Why does my sushi belt not work? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:47 AM PST Hi there, This is my sushi belt lab setup. The belts are connected in T-shapes, with 2 sciences per T. The inserting belts are only activated when their respective science = 0. When i'm standing next to this, watching it, everything works perfectly. Then I go do something else, come back to my lab to find a conga line of the same sciences. Why does this happen? It looks like a belt got overenthousiastic... [link] [comments]
