What would be the next game of the creators of factorio? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 06:52 AM PST I can't help but wonder, what will be after factorio. Once the 1.0 comes out I guess that there will still be updates and such, but maybe they will start working on a new game. Anyone knows anything already? [link] [comments]

How long have I been here? I close my eyes at night but only find endless fields of belts and trains, snaking their way through the fabric of reality. Carrying the materials that move my technology forward. Forever moving forward. Onward and upward. To the stars. Ah, the stars. I came from there, once. But that life is dead to me now. I couldn't reach it even if I tried. Turrets perched on the edges of existence, firing endless streams of energy into the abyss. Just because they can. Killing the natives is only a hobby now. No biological organism could withstand this energy. Is there even a god that would be willing to claim those horrid creatures as their own? A belt here. An assembler there. Row after row after agonizing row of inserters. The hum of cooling fans and electric motors fills the air, powered by the coal-fired boilers that coat this dying planet in a uniform layer of smog. The factory grows endlessly. Ever-increasing complexity, a slave to industrialization. Onward, upward, forwards... ... There must be no god. If there was, it would have stopped me by now. ... I hear a low-resource alarm going off. No doubt a train got stuffed up by an attack party on the northern railway again. I need to go. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Jan 2020 10:42 AM PST Everyone on this sub who has not reviewed Factorio yet needs to! We have recently dropped down to 3rd place of the best positive-negative review ratio. Everyone needs to make sure they have positively reviewed the game, it doesn't take long! [link] [comments]

Bob's & Angels Burnable Fuel Options? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 02:31 AM PST I have a crazy number of ore factories set up making coke pellets and its just not enough to be fueling all my trains and boilers (I am in the process of going to solar, but its going to take time). I am trying to create my first mega base. Does anyone know if theres a list of all burnable fuels? I remember seeing somewhere that Alginic Acid could be used but I cant find anything to confirm or its stats. Any other suggestions would be great. [link] [comments]
Why splitters don't split? (part 2) Posted: 03 Jan 2020 04:56 AM PST Nice picture for you all: https://i.imgur.com/4t19DwY.png Here is part one: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/ej2qrr/newbie_at_factorio/ Unfortunately, that post wasn't presented clearly, so the comment section is full of people who don't see what it is about. Lets try again. So... the core of the issue is: From observation, if splitter inputs are two compressed uniform belts of two different types, the outputs of such splitter will be two compressed uniform belts of the same types in random order.

Posted: 02 Jan 2020 04:32 PM PST For me, I hate furnaces that use coal. They're inefficient, they're slow, they require either a belt of coal or manual refilling. So my solution is to try to skip them as much as possible. My first factory makes red and green science. I then drive to the oil with enough water barrels and coal to make 225 blue science (and a few personal batteries for nightvision), make everything there, and drive back. I then spend it on advanced oil and electric furnaces, make 50-100 electric furnaces, and tear down the whole factory. Generally, but not always, I do this before logistics. Now, I do this not only because I hate coal-using furnaces, but also because it lets me relocate my factory. My first factory is in the starting location, close to all the ores, and generally without enough room to grow. So doing this fixes those issues. It lets me place the factory in an open area, with room for train stations and growth. I recently did this in a multiplayer world and my friend got very confused, as he was trying to optimize everything for expansion from the start, while I focused on a dirty spaghetti factory to get exactly what I needed, then move. Am I the strange one? [link] [comments]
