    This totally unremarkable location was once the site of a great battle.

    This was the site of my starting iron, its long since depleted. But I'll always remember how the bitters were attacking here non-stop. I was constantly running out of ammo. I lost miners, furnaces, assemblers, belts and turrets. I very nearly quite the game, but I endured. And now, there is nothing here.

    Does anyone else ever look at random unexceptional parts of your base and think, "There was once a great battle here" like I do?

    Is it just me or is everybody's base basically a huge mess of electric poles, belts, inserters and various machines and supply chains that take even me, the one who made them, a few seconds of adjustment to see what the hell is going on?

    I saw a post awhile back that used circuits and nixie tubes to measure throughput but I can't find it. Anybody have a link? I think the album was on imgur.

    I know I can get some stupidly fast times with bots, but what is the fastest with stack inserters and chests?

    Right now I can easily get 8 blue belts out of a 1-4-1 train if I make sure there's at least one waiting in the stacker behind it, but for my green circuit plant I need 14 belts and right now I've settled on two 1-4-1 trains unloading to 7 belts simultaneously. Obviously I can just go with larger trains, but I'd rather rework the chip factory's unloading than mess with the hassle of a larger train(s) on a network that's currently not designed for it.

    Anyways, more of a problem should I go for higher spm later and not now.

    Edited to add: I guess I should point out that loading super fast is a harder problem to solve than unloading. Bonus points for wicked fast loading.

    Not sure if this breaks rule 7, but this was requested, and I think it is a great visual image of your factory destroying the alien world. I will also add trees getting destroyed after some time being dead. If you have any suggestions etc. then let me know (keep in mind I am a new modder and this is still in development stage), if I don't respond in under an hour I am propably in school or sleeping.

    Looking for a teammate to help me grasp the game better or at least someone to struggle with. Made it to cars and oil processing but just never seem to progress and start a new world. Hopefully we can eventually launch a rocket

    I started a modded game with space exploration, and I have to go very far to find small ressource patches. I was wondering if it was a space exploration feature or if I screwed up in the settigs

    Can I make the UI scale bigger than 75% and less than 100%?

    I'm playing Factorio in a notebook and I think that 75% is too small and 100% or more is too big, can I use others scales like 80% or 90%?

    [Modded] Biter waves spawning out of thin air

    So, I've been playing with a big pile of mods, including Rampant and Natural Evolution Enemies. It's quite challenging, and I've turned off the Player Score Contribution Threshold setting, and Player Proximity settings in Rampant, as I still want the original pollution mechanic to be mostly what triggers attacks.

    This brings me to my problem: enemies just seem to spawn out of thin air. I'll be defending a base against some enemies, and a bunch will just appear out of a point in the ground. Or, inside my base, which as you might imagine, is challenging to defend against.

    Is there a setting to disable this behaviour? And does anyone know what it is?

    how the hell is this thing stil being drained of electricity when the smelters are not on, it doesent even get trought about half of the night before the baterys are all empty, the same as what is going on on the left and right side is placed on the top and bothem aswell aswell as 3 more blocks?

    Krastorio 10k SPM City Block Base

    I created a 10k SPM Base with City Blocks and the Krastorio Mod. I had much fun to build it but I'm having UPS issues now. I think it comes from the belt usage and my train network. I started to improve it but got kinda bored to change all rail blocks with the new layout.

    Any Idea what could be done better to improve the train issue or is this just a normal behaviour with big city blocks?

    I'm thinking to extend it a bit more but then I would add faster belts. That would help to build a bit cleaner.
