Factorio will ruin other games for me. Posted: 15 Jul 2021 08:48 PM PDT As i find myself playing this game and think of how complex or simple you go about playing it I am realizing a horrible truth about it. Whenever I play a game that requires me to craft or go and collect resources or amass a variety of different resources I will say to myself "wow, I wish I could automate this", and frustratingly look back at Factorio for how amazing and satisfying it is to create, well everything! Damn you Factorio and your wonderful design! [link] [comments]

Is it possible to include concrete in blueprints? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 11:21 PM PDT I want to blueprint my rail junction, with the concrete underneath, but I don't want to rip it up and place it all again as ghost concrete. Thanks [link] [comments]
New Game 2021 - Some Mod Recommendations Please? Posted: 16 Jul 2021 05:30 AM PDT Can anyone recommend me some mods for a new game please? I don't want to go too far from Vanilla - certainly not all the Bob's stuff. Maybe just the metals? Open to suggestions. I'd like some harder aliens, more weapons, more armour, and hopefully just some cooler fighting as I found the aliens are just too easy in vanilla (though I haven't played in about two-three years so maybe they're better now?) Maybe some controllable tank units! :) And a few QoL mods please :) Thanks !!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jul 2021 04:19 AM PDT I was wondering how many accumulator should I build so I have to know how many solar panels are placed around my factory. The point is they are spread on the base and avanpost so it's difficult to count MaNuAlLy. Is there any building monitor in the vanilla game? [link] [comments]
Simple way to create a test world? Posted: 16 Jul 2021 03:00 AM PDT Probably answered many times before, but Reddit is crap when it comes to search. I've tried starting a new world with Map Editor with "Max Rate Calculator" installed as a mod. And I still can't figure out how to generate a full belt without creating a bunch of inserters and an infinity chest. Can someone more intelligent break it down into small pieces for me how to make a test world? Or do I need to install another mod? [link] [comments]

Progression video of entire base. Posted: 15 Jul 2021 11:15 PM PDT It should work in such a way that at every autosave it also captures an image of the complete explored area on the map. It should work for most of the people unless you went really far away in a single direction for your build. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Jul 2021 09:13 PM PDT Gonna try getting into Factorio again, didn't get too far, enough to get a decent understanding of what the game is like. I don't like to lose progress and usually prefer my games easy. Thinking something along the lines of quality of life mods that the devs didn't implement but that mods implement that can enhance your new player experience, what say you? Note: Anything that can be considered as making the game easier or be considered cheating is ok for me, just not to overdo it [link] [comments]
Why would you use a passive provider chest instead of a storage one? Posted: 16 Jul 2021 12:31 AM PDT Hey guys! So I'm starting getting into robots and I can't find any use for passive provider since I feel like it's the same as a storage chest just without having the option of the bots returning unused or deconstructed items. Surely there must be an use that I'm not seeing just yet. Can you guys help me with an example where you would prefer a passive provider over a storage chest? [link] [comments]
