Posted: 19 Feb 2021 05:42 AM PST Hello friends, as the title suggests I cannot make progress after I finish my jump-start base. After I finish all the red+green techs I feel like I overwhelmed and lost. And I just do not know what to do after this point. I want to play more and explore more but I am just too afraid to experiment more. I am constantly restarting and starting from scratch and I cannot help it. Can you please leave some suggestions for me, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance :) Edit: The reason why I start over all the time, in my opinion, is that I just love the game and want to be comfortable with what I do in the game. [link] [comments]

How far do people go with non-mining repeatables? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:25 AM PST I'm on my first run that's gone significantly past a rocket. I've teched a few mining upgrades and a couple of most of the others. Other than mining - which is obviously useful - how far do people tend to push the rest of the repeatables? I have yet to see Behemoths in my game (evolution = ~0.895 right now), so I don't have a sense for how much military power I need. The Medium and Big bugs aren't remotely a threat, and I'm not even using tanks, spidertrons, atomic bombs, etc. I just walk up to nests, fire a few uranium rounds, and let my PLD's kill the rest. For really huge nests, I deploy some defenders and fire explosive rockets too. My perimeter has been fine so far just with a half line of laser turrets and artillery, though I've designed it so that I can complete the laser turret line and work in a second half row of flame turrets later too. Unless the Behemoths are insane game-changers, it seems like the military side of the game is finished. Does pushing bot speed matter? I use a decent number of bots and haven't felt they're particularly slow at Bot Speed 6. I'll probably go one or two more levels? It seems like teching anything besides Mining Productivity becomes pointless fairly quickly. [link] [comments]

Never Fire an Antimatter Shell at yourself. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:27 PM PST Yep, you read that right. So I was playing with the RFW mod. And I had a huge biter problem. Basically every biter mod that makes the game a living hell. I knew I had nuclear, thermonuclear, and regular shells. I left 1 machine making the Beloved Antimatter Shells. Well I was away from base fighting. And decided I need artillery. I didn't realize the target remote was showing the antimatter radius. Yes I know it shows in base game. Well I'm dead and half of my base is gone. [link] [comments]
In 40 days I'm back. (Questions) Posted: 19 Feb 2021 07:17 AM PST I'm currently in another country and in 40 days after five months I'm finally back to my country and computer. I CANT WAIT TO PLAY FACTORIO AFTER SOME MONTHS!!! I had a attempt of a megabse to shoot 1000 rockets, but ups went so low I got disappointed to play after 230h investet without any rocket. Next try will be a pure train base without thousands of robots and I hope it will run more smoothly. Further I won't build million things and maybe take some more time to shoot the rockets but Bering at least able. I left in 0.17 I think, got performance a lot better since 1.1? [link] [comments] |
