Competitive multiplayer with trade negotiations Posted: 13 Dec 2020 04:32 AM PST I had the idea of doing a multiplayer setup where we all swallow up the map, but compete for resources with seperate bases. If one of us hogs up the oil for example, others could negotiate trades for [x] amounts of resource per second by hooking themselves up to a regulated line I set up. Basically, set up an economy. I was thinking it would be cool if pvp was optional with this setup. I would want our logistic networks and research progress separate. Think something like this is possible? I've only done cooperative multiplayer before so I'm not sure what pvp multiplayer is capable of. If not, are there mods for multiplayer that could accomplish something like this? Posted: 13 Dec 2020 03:00 AM PST Just wondering if someone can help me identify where im going wrong with my belt saturation equations. I found a few people give answers but not show the working out. Im calculating how many electric furnaces are required to saturate a yellow belt with iron plate. Belt has a speed of 15 ups (units per second) with 7.5 ups per side and 1 base electric furnace creates 1 unit every 2 seconds giving an output speed of 0.5 ups. x=7.5/0.5 x=15 So i should require 15 furnaces per side of the conveyor but it is actually 12 per side. Just wondering what im missing here. Hopefully nothing too stupid Cheers [link] [comments]

Factorio : In-progress bob and angel base Posted: 13 Dec 2020 03:36 AM PST Hello, (Sorry for the poor english, I am trying) I have been playing a full bobs & angels game, and despite not being very skilled at the game in general (in my opinion), I somehow managed to get to what I think is the midgame, as I got to logistic science pack. Production is very slow, but non-zero. I admit that I rely heavily on the transport drones mod for logistics. This mod feels like "trains made easy", albeit much less powerful. Long story short, I could go on, and scale up my science production, but my base is becoming larger and larger and messier and messier, and progress is slowing down. Since its beginning, here is how my base evolved : - start with a bus - when I got methane, I transitionned to using transport drones. My bus still exists somewhere but is not really used for anything serious. Lots and lots of handcrafting involved, as making a mall in bobs angels is a chore in my opinion. - when I got logistic and construction flying drones, I made a mall, and paved my base with roboports to have items delivered from the mall to me. This gave me a big boost as I simply could stop handcrafting everything. Right now, mass production is handled by transport drones, and small production by flying drones. So... as said before, I could go on developping my base, but as things slow down again, I wonder if I should transition into something else. I feel like I have two options : - fully use drones and have them handle mass production (fluid would still have to be handled by transport drones, though, unless I decide to barrel everything). - use trains for mass production. I never used trains effectively, and this scares me a lot. Here is a link to an imgur album containing not-so-detailled description of my base with screenshots: Thanks for any advice. I’ll have any performance issues with my hardware? Posted: 13 Dec 2020 05:29 AM PST Hello. I played the demo few times, and didn't bought the game because it is a big chunk of money for me. But since I'll refund Cyberpunk, I'll buy an amazing game like this, finally. So, my hardware is: - AMD 8350 - 1060 6gb - 16gb ram - 860 EVO SSD I played the demo and instead going to the objetives I started growing up my factory and at the end the performance wasn't so good (and didn't have so much things) So I would like to ask you guys if the actual version of the game have better performance? Maybe the demo one it's an "old" version? Thanks :) [link] [comments]
