Will I ever remember not to undress in the middle of the woods?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 06:02 AM PST

I just found one of the most comprehensive and explanatory mega base tours. Sorry if this has already been posted, I thought it was cool and wanted to share for those who might not have seen it already.

    RS latch help.

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:45 AM PST

I need some help with an rs latch using the circuit network that works with the signal "each" which then remembers a pulse and sends the "each" function forward to output, then I need that to keep showing that signal until it recieves a "restart signal".

So basically, if I send a short signal with 2 iron plate & 1 copper plate, then it should remember that until I send a restart signal.

    A blueprint would be appreciated.

FNEI vs “What is it really used for”

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:19 AM PST

Hey guys, just wanted your thoughts on these two mods - both do the same thing but I see people recommend FNEI by default, is there a reason for this? What is it... seems to have the easier to navigate UI, so what am i missing with FNEI which makes it trump the other?

Adding and subtracting a variable in the same circuit network?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:12 PM PST

I have a pulse timer, which adds N to a counter C every T ticks. There is also an inserter which adds to I for each item it moves between chests. The inserter is only active when C > I, which means that (as long as the inserter stack size is a factor of N), only N items will be moved between chests every T ticks.

    Annotated screenshot for reference: https://i.imgur.com/12bczPq.png

The problem is that I and C only go up, and will probably reach a limit at some point. Is it possible to have the pulse timer add N to C and the inserter subtract from C within the same network, so the value of C remains close to zero? I tried hooking up the counter in series with the pulse but this causes the counter to spin uncontrollably.

Would appreciate any help. I took a look at the wiki but couldn't figure out what was relevant. I'm trying to build a system that will load up a nuclear fuel cells onto a belt every 200 seconds, but the counter only runs when the steam tanks are below a certain threshold. Maybe there's a better way to achieve that?

    Well this is fine.

Its not the best or the fastest. But its giant, and I like giant. Also cause I don't have to use any inserter's when I use the giant furnaces. Gets all the steel I need and it looks cool.

    Long term biter solutions?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:17 PM PST

I do have uranium ammo unlocked and all of the nuclear power research, i cannot find uranium because of biter nests in the way. My copper and iron mining outposts are constantly being attacked and building robots are getting destroyed trying to repair the tons of lasers I have placed down. Is the rocket launcher good for taking out nests (dont have atomic bomb)? Tank with flamethrower seems good but there has to be an even better way right?

LTN train limit is not working

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:42 PM PST

Sorry first of all as English is not my first language.

I have LTN set up in my base and every stop has a limit of trains set to 1.
The issue I have is when a train is being filled up then another train is being sent which makes all the trains back up throughout my base.

Could there be a reason why when a train is being filled up it is sending another? I have it set up and the minimum/maximum train length are both working just fine.

I have read through "https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=214&t=51072" and also watched the video guides listed.

My base is set up to have 10 trains and they are moving resources from one stop to another all with the default network ID.

Appreciate the help in advance. Thank you

    Moving Around Items with Trains

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:19 AM PST

I want to make a base that is mostly just trains, but I am struggling to find out how I would be able to transport iron, copper, or even just circuits to different stations efficiently. Is there a method I just don't know about?

Is it possible to get two people to be able to be the hosts of a multiplayer world?

Specifically, can I get two people to be able to start up the server at separate times if that makes sense?
