Set and forget is the rule of the day. So here's a simple toy (that others can likely optimize or improve upon) that automatically sets request thresholds for an LTN request station. 1. Set minimum train length 2. Set "L" to the number of locomotives in that minimum train. - first two steps can be captured in the blueprint. 3. Drop a full stack of whatever you want delivered into the wooden chest. Have Bob's installed for the filter modifications. On the bottom, a battery setup, right above, a spiked wall factory from AAI. Posted: 24 Oct 2020 06:46 AM PDT I tried getting into this game several times, every time I ended up not liking my base layout shortly after getting my smelting columns setup. This is the first time I got what I feal is a good defensible starting position with potential for at least a good first base. I just got all my defenses, mining, smelting, and power setup. What should I do now, this is the part of the game I always seem to get discouraged and quit on even though it really is just the start of the actual game. I know I don't have enough raw materials for a main bus but should I setup something like a mini bus using the iron, copper, and stone I have? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 07:15 PM PDT I have a wacom intuos Pro M and using mouse is hurting my hand quite a bit, I havent tried it yet, but I just want to see if anyone else is doing it and is there any special inputs that you can only do with tablets?(which I assume there isn't) and do I need to remap some of my buttons on my boar/pen so I will need to use the keyboard less too? Space Exploration - Launch Trigger to Nauvis Orbit Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:14 PM PDT How do you set up your automatic rocket deliveries from Nauvis to Nauvis orbit? Right now, I have the rocket automatically loaded, but not automatically launched. In orbit, I have a bunch of constant combinators putting out a signal of what things I want to have up there, then I subtract what is actually there by connecting a roboport to an arithmetic combinator and multiplying by negative one. Then this input is sent via transmitter to the rocket area on nauvis where it is fed into a requester warehouse. I also have the rocket silo itself wired into an arithmetic combinator multiplying everything by negative one, so as stuff is loaded into the silo, the requests in the warehouse go down. It's not perfect, sometimes a little bit of extra stuff gets loaded into the silo, but that's not such a big deal. The big deal is that I don't know when to launch the rocket. For now, I manually launch it every once in a while, but that is not a good system. I was thinking about somehow setting it up so that when the supply of anything in space goes to zero, and that item is fully loaded in the rocket, and the landing pad is empty, that should trigger a launch. Checking if the landing pad is empty is pretty easy, but I don't know how to check if the supply of anything is zero, or if the rocket has at least as much as requested without setting up a few combinators for each item being requested and I have over 40 different items being requested. Due to this I cannot see the actual Stats of said equipment. I am asking if there is some mod that either reorganizes so the stats are above the placed in section or removes that section entirely from the UI. [link] [comments] |
