    Changes

    • The tiles and entities filtering logic in the deconstruction planner is now independent.
    • Selecting first entity filter switches tile mode to never when it has the default normal mode and no filters.

    Bugfixes

    • Probably fixed problem with blueprint preview data not being empty when blueprint is empty.
    • Improved layering of rocket in rocket silo, so it occludes inserter hands. more
    • Fixed inventory consistency check failing when loading some saves. more
    • Fixed inventory error messages in god and editor controller. more
    • Fixed smoke might not be spawned from generator entity if its animation was too short. more
    • Fixed underground belts and loaders would not draw half-belt with layers correctly. more
    • Fixed localised strings in text objects created through script rendering API, would be untranslated after saving and loading. more
    • Fixed that right-clicking blueprint book with empty blueprint being selected destroyed the whole book.
    • Fixed that cut and copy created empty blueprint when nothing was selected with alternative selection type.
    • Fixed that the mouse "cross" selection cursor was not present when selection tools from the blueprint library were held in the cursor.
    • Fixed that the latency state of deconstructing using tool from library didn't take the tool settings into consideration.
    • Fixed the alert tooltips showing all surface names in the tooltip when multiple surfaces existed.

    Modding

    • Added LuaEntityPrototype::rocket_entity_prototype read.

    With blueprints visible in map view, Factorio is now just AutoCAD with extra steps

    Today, after 775 hours in the game and 40 hours in this map, I finally launched my first rocket! Figured this is occasion enough to post.

    The blueprint update was good and all, but the true game changer is being able to store your designs right there, in the world, instead of the hotbar. Their shape is recognizable, their sizes are easy to compare, and I remember where every blueprint is.

    Kind of exactly how guys in my shop (mechanical engineering) would organize their CAD files! A football field sized area filled with intermediate designs, references, etc, and you just kinda have to know which of the 100 scattered blocks is the "working" one. At least in Factorio the unfinished blocks are purple.

    This produces 30 spm

    I have seen a lot of "easy" Kovarex setups that seem so ungodly complicated it boggles my mind. Thought I would finally post what I came up with that actually seems easy to do (at least to me).

    Kovarex Enrichment

    This is set up for what is going to be a 10k spm, way over-engineered mega base. It is one small part of a much larger sub-factory making fuel for my trains to run on. I can post a blueprint link if anyone is interested, but honestly its just as easy to look at the image and recreate it, no circuits, only four filter inserters and two filtered splitters and the whole thing runs on its own

    *Edit* For the input from the left-hand side, top half of the lane is for U-235 (bright green) and the bottom half of the lane is for U-238 (dark green). Or jumpstart the process with 40 U-235 into the centrifuge. Thanks u/Jubei_ for the catch.

    Suggestion: Turret Wagons

    We have artillery wagons, why not gun turret wagons?

    Benefits:

    1. It's fun

    2. Why not

    3. Having a train continuously circling a base would be an interesting defensive strategy early on.

    For bonus fun, flame-turrets!

    Game crashes when grabbing the blueprint book

    When trying to organise the blueprints in my inventory I grabbed a blueprint book from the button in the hotbar. The game crashed twice just a second after grabbing the book.

    How to keep blueprints in the library?

    I would like advice on how you keep blueprints in your library when you use them. I believe that after the update, whenever I select a blueprint to use, it removes it from my library. If I delete the game it was in, or start a new one, it is no longer available. to me.

    I believe that it used to make a copy that would be on the local character.

    Thanks for any advice offered.

    I just rebuilt my standard blueprints into the new grid system and it's great! I don't see very many complete train blueprint sets that prioritize the things I like, so I decided to polish it up a bit and post it.

    Blueprint description:

    2-way 6-wide right hand rail system on a global 60-tile grid with interoperable 90° & 45° variants. Intended to be simple, complete, cheap (that order) at the expense of flexibility.

    Features:

    • rotational symmetry
    • red&green wired poles
    • blueprints for Through, Turn, Tee, Junction, and U-Turn for both 90° & 45°
    • 90°/ 45° crossover blueprints

    Based on large power poles, 60 is the max distance between 3 poles in a straight line, or 5 poles diagonally. by infogulch; v1
