Factorio Smol train |
- Smol train
- So.. I did a thing. Aimed only for the Lazy Bastard then, half way through I went "meh.. might as well"
- I'm kinda bored today ...
- Made the biggest nuclear reactor in all my life of playing factorio on a server with my friends.
- Am I the only one to see the holy Cow-pope in the missing module-icon?
- THE blue circuit factory
- I DID IT!!!! (1 month, 92 hours)
- i noticed that the date in the official website isn't updated, highly suggest to change it since it confused me a bit before remembering the date changed
- The moment you look at it and it slowly hits you.. I used to mine rocks for coal and now I am sending 32k space science from outpost with a train. I was just staring at screen for a minute totally spaced out. Damn I love this game for a moments like that.
- Ultra-compact tileable beaconed green-science factory - full blue belt output
- TIL the selection boxes haven't changed from FFF 1
- Launching my first rocket in my first Factorio game
- Can I run this game on surface pro 7 i5?
- Thanks for yesterday’s advice about green production line, now it look like this!
- Slightly(?) cheaty 10k SPM megabase with ~60ups. Direct insertion to madness
- HOW DO I MAKE THE BUGS GO AWAY
- I introduced a friend to Factorio ...
- My base after 1001 rockets, it will grow further ;)
- Krastorio 2 steam temperature for advanced turbine
- Is "catching up" ever impossible?
- Running animation be like...
- Any way to get back previous autosaves?
- Higher frame rates

Can I run this game on surface pro 7 i5? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:21 AM PDT I'm downloading the demo but I'm talking about massive bases. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Slightly(?) cheaty 10k SPM megabase with ~60ups. Direct insertion to madness Posted: 05 Jun 2020 05:57 PM PDT I decided to try and make a megabase that should use direct insertion wherever it's not completely infeasible. I've ended up with a base that has only these items on belts: ores for input, science packs, accumulators, solar panels, RCUs, LDS and Rocket Fuel. All science packs (except space science) are crafted directly from ores and oils+water. Using iron and copper plates would have been much easier, but where is the fun in that. Also I wanted to use as few chains "machine-inserter-box-inseter-machine" as possible, preferring to have "machine-inseter-machine". I've cheated by using editor, infinity pipes and chests + miniloaders for input (ores, oil and water), and infinite electricity (didn't feel like stamping down hundreds of thousands of solar panels). I decided not to look how other people use direct insertion and specifically create my own designs. I didn't do any other UPS optimizations beyound using direct insertion (timing the inserters, using robots for some deliveries, etc), but will look into it later. I think it's reasonable to think that this setup can get to 5-7k SPM with 60ups when done with miners, electricity, trains for supply, etc. 1.1k module overview: https://i.imgur.com/4hHivjU.png. 9 in total to get 10k SPM. Lab setup. 48 labs, 12 beacons + prod modules for each, 1125SPM in total https://i.imgur.com/338molW.png Automation science https://i.imgur.com/iAy6fff.png Logistic science https://i.imgur.com/EPyrnud.png . Only a small fragment, tile until you reach your goal (same for most other parts) Chemical science https://i.imgur.com/GWGgmsa.png Production science https://i.imgur.com/xl6j65L.png . Crafting rails from ore is a pain. Utility science https://i.imgur.com/B8lhglV.png . Limited, surprisingly, by LDS and not by processing units. One of three satellites+silo facilities. https://i.imgur.com/8h3uapF.png You can't realistically use direct insertion for silo unless you have hundreds of those, so I decided to be limited by satellite production. It produces roughly 1 satellite in 3 minutes, so you have to build 3 silos to get to 1,1k SPM. Accumulators build. https://i.imgur.com/2m66Nmu.png According to factory planner half of the screenshoted part should be enough, but I still was slightly bottlenecked by it. When in doubt, dobule the production. Solar panels. https://i.imgur.com/lbHEE3W.png also doubled just in case. RCUs https://i.imgur.com/igHXF5u.png Low density structures https://i.imgur.com/ixmFXex.png . Also there's a pump for coal liquefaction used in rocket fuel Rocket fuel https://i.imgur.com/6fGz19F.png used coal liquefaction because it generates more heavy and light oil. Setup has 3 chemical plants that produce solid fuel using petroleum so it doesn't overflow. [link] [comments]
HOW DO I MAKE THE BUGS GO AWAY Posted: 06 Jun 2020 06:06 AM PDT every time I try to rebuild my factory and start turret manufacturing they come back and tear up some other vital production site. also how do I get rid of all the corpses [link] [comments]

Krastorio 2 steam temperature for advanced turbine Posted: 05 Jun 2020 07:19 PM PDT My advanced turbines are running at 45% efficiency because the steam temperature is only 415 degrees, where the turbine supports 975 degrees. My farthest heat pipe is 960 degrees. How do I increase the steam temperature? [link] [comments]
Is "catching up" ever impossible? Posted: 05 Jun 2020 11:48 PM PDT After about a week of gametime between me and a friend making a rather big (but not mega) base, we've been noticing that joining the server got kind of crazy long. Now, my understanding of the "catching up" phase is that this is where your computer is running the simulation as fast as it can in order to sync with the actual server. Naturally, if someone is already on, pausing the game while someone is catching up makes that whole process much faster. But is there a point where you simply won't be able to catch up at all? Once the simulation is already going as fast as it can just in realtime, how would it be possible for anyone to join? I'm real curious about this because many people have multiplayer megabases and I just can't imagine how that would work. [link] [comments]

Any way to get back previous autosaves? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 05:22 AM PDT I was playing in my main world after getting back into the game, but I went into a Sandbox world to test some stuff. I didn't save my main world on a separate save apart from autosave, so is there any way I can get it back? Got about to purple science and not really feeling like doing all that over again [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:46 AM PDT I looked for how to get higher frame rates (preferably 240fps) and found a post from 2016 which said to increase game speed. For obvious reasons it is not a good solution, and what is more it does not work in multiplayer. So here is the real qustion: is there a solution imolemented now, and if not will it maybe be deployed for official launch. Using build 0.18.8 and I am sure my pc can handle much more than 60fps.
