Posted: 09 May 2020 05:49 AM PDT Me, derping along laying rails: Oh look, a biter nest. I'll have to clean that out at some point. Continuing to derp: And that forest is in the way Lightbulb: The biter nest is in the forest I need to clear, and I have a flamethrower. This problem will take care of itself!! [link] [comments]

How to play with beginner friend as veteran without smothering him? Posted: 09 May 2020 07:31 AM PDT Hey guys as in title: how do I approach his zero knowledge with my optimized solutions to all the problems? I used to play it with one friend and acted as interactive wikipedia/walkthrough but I handled it poorly and it didnt last long. Recently I played on some overhaul mods and felt that long forgotten feeling of figuring out things from the scratch which now my friend is about to experience in our vanilla gameplay. So how do I approach it to combine letting him have the exciting experience which will keep him interested (he's the type of guy to be one of us) AND multiplayer? I'll happily contribute in any way and make this playthrough about his experience and progress rather than mine but I'm lost about execution of this support. People who can relate - im counting on your insight:) [link] [comments]

Strategies for setting up outposts in worlds with high evolution factor (>0.90) Posted: 09 May 2020 07:05 AM PDT So I've been playing on this one world for a while and recently the biters have occupied most of the map. Evfactor is at .91, lots of behemoth nasties and I'm also running out of ore patches. Interestingly sized ore patches are further away, but those are obviously littered with biters; not sure how to approach those. I mean, I could just go artillery and quickly build walls with turrets, but I'd need power there too without biters chewing up my masts. Setting up a train with steam might take too much time, too. What are your go-to strategies to set up new outposts? Would like to learn some effective/quick methods! [link] [comments]
Accedently added mods - Lost crafting items, Help plz Posted: 09 May 2020 06:14 AM PDT I've been playing without mods for a long time. A friend of mine wanted to show me how the game looked with mods so I joined his game. After a while I went back to my own game and didnt realise I brought the mods with me into my game (I think it was bob mods he used). I went out to main menu to disable all the mods. Now I cant build any more roboports, I have lost the recipe somehow https://i.imgur.com/759RyCr.jpg As you can see Its not under crafting and Ive reserched it! Does anyone know how to fix this? Posted: 08 May 2020 03:14 PM PDT I don't know if this is a common issue but ever since I started playing Factorio I can't play a lot of other games for long unless there is a large amount of automation. Take Astroneer as an example, one of my favourite games where you gather resources to use with machines, but I can't play it as there is no way to automate machines making items or automate keeping your storage organised. Removed Power Lines show up again in blueprints ? Posted: 09 May 2020 02:22 AM PDT I removed the power lines from some power-poles via SHIFT-click to separate certain areas and replaced them with circuit controlled power-switches instead. So far so good, works as intended. However, when creating a blueprint of the area containing these poles the removed power lines are restored in the blueprint and the power switch circuitry does not work properly until manually removing the power lines again. Is this a bug or a feature ?? [link] [comments] |
