- Picked Factorio up last week. Spent today building scalable but compact mini factory for all things Iron. I think it turned out well!

- Been working on this for a couple weeks! (3d printed)
- My first factory with about 35 hours of work. what do you think? (Also if I formatted this wrong in any way please let me know. I don't think I've ever posted on reddit before.)
- Maximum production rates
- I am not a smart man
- Sooo... What's SPM stand for?
- How do I allow trains to go both North and West without colliding, I've been messing with Signals for an hour+ and Can not figure it out, keep getting no Path?
- looking for a game
- Let the K2 run begin. (more in comments)
- Have to move my initial red/green factory because I forgot I was putting more copper smelting in. Four new smelting columns will go to the right of existing smelting. This is an attempt to create a more organized base than ever, and man is it easy to bollix it all up, despite 1000+ hours in game.

Posted: 05 Aug 2021 01:45 AM PDT Hello everybody, I am currently playing a heavily modded game with OP beacons and modules. I know the machines can produce up to 60 times in a second since that's how game works. But what happens when UPS drops lower than 60? Does the maximum production rate drop with UPS or stay the same? Posted: 05 Aug 2021 03:54 AM PDT I played Factorio to my first rocket before nuclear was a thing, put down the game, and now it's in 1.0 and I'm diving in full. Just curious when I see people strive for this and I don't know what it is. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Aug 2021 02:01 AM PDT Hello, To begin with I will say that I have a love/hate relationship with factorio. Launching my first rocket was fun, but to be honest I now only play it because I don't know any other game that scratches that itch. What I dislike in factorio : 1) Having to control a character : most of my time is spent moving around and it just kills the fun for me (no Dyson sphere program then, and I already tried factorio without a character) 2) Lack of challenge and sandbox gameplay : yes there is an end goal but it's way too easy to achieve, and I'm not the type of player to impose myself production caps just for the sake of it. Factorio is all about grinding to me and it really bothers me, a game with a campaign and difficult victory conditions would be awesome for instance ! Do you guys know a game that could meet those two criterias ? I don't mind a game which offer less possibilities than factorio, I want it to be somewhat difficult and that's it. I've heard very good things about Factory Town, but can't find recent reviews of it and don't know if the campaign's maps could do the trick for me difficulty-wise. I'm also considering pure logistic games like Transport Fever 2, but again they look rather limited difficulty-wise. To clarify a bit I'm not looking for a strategy game, and already possess a huge collection of puzzle games (Zachtronics ones being my true love). Thanks in advance for your suggestions ! Is there a way to rotate (or flip) the generated map? Not the view, but the "ground" itself Posted: 05 Aug 2021 07:25 AM PDT I've been looking for a cool seed to start a new game and I've seen a few with some kind of peninsula right in the starting point, so now I really feel like trying to build my stuff all protected by impenetrable water. The problem is that all seeds I found with this characteristics have peninsulas facing south, and I always start building towards north (expanding southwards is pretty annoying to me) so it would be nice if I could pick the generated map and rotate or flip it so the peninsula is facing north. It's just a dumb question, but now I'm curious about it and I thought I could ask as well. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Aug 2021 12:39 AM PDT Hello community! I'm relativ new to factorio (just little bit over 1000 hours in total) and I need some help... Until now I played the game with 2 friends and we used trains, lot of spaghetti and angels/bob's mods. But no cityblock / grid. Now we are planing to build a little bit bigger and I'm asking me what grid layout would be the best.
Is it better to just use t-junctions over 4-way intersections in case of pass-through and deadlocks? Should we better use LHD instead of RHD (signal placement)? Do we need 4-Lane or should be 2-Lane enoght in a grid layout? Any other ideas / suggestions are welcome. I searched a little bit, but everything I found was years old, sorry if I missed something... Also sorry for my bad english :P Greetings Jan aka Midnight2k [link] [comments]
