    Can i make a switch to check if a stations empty and use that to move a train along?

    Im still on first playthrough of factorio and i was wondering how i could set up a switch to move trains along a series of stations based on weather the next station is uniccupied or not.

    Its looking like; Station1, empty, station2, train1, train2

    So if station 1 is empty, move train 1 along to station1.

    Resulting in Station1, train1, station2, train2

    Has anyone made automated Kamikaze Spidertrons?

    I'm not far enough into any saves to have the power to do this yet but id bet you could automate the construction of Spidertrons armed with 1 nuke each and just send em into biter nests. If you have done something in the ballpark of this Id love to see it!

    I keep seeing all these awesome biter zoos and islands. I would try that but I'm pretty sure I would destroy it via artillery. I wish there was something that would make part of the map off limits for artillery.

    Roboport grid, square or a triangle

    Yesterday I decided to try out another way to setup my roboport grid. So instead of 4 ways the robots can fly it has 6 ways. But are there any drawback to doing it in a triangle?

    I wanted to move my power supply and expand it. I have a full belt of coal coming in, my base should only use up 40 MW or so, changing the power supply would seem easy as hell. Even the list of things that require power adds up to ~50 MW considering lasers. So where the hell is this 500 MW requirement coming from? Because of it inserters aren't fast enough to grab items from a yellow belt, buildings are slow and the power turns of anyways. Oh btw, my iron mining outpost is being mauled by Rampant biters because i use lasers over there. Is this a bug or what?

    OK So i'm in my first game using some blueprints and following a bit of JD-Play's definiative guide.

    I'm quite a long way into this game, I've unlocked a lot of tech, all the science up to space science, but my base is struggling.

    I'm surrounded by biter camps, I jsut killed three, it was very tough used a lot of rockets and I died several times, I'm just not great at avoiding the worms and then the spit slows me down.

    The bitters are evolved to the third stage and even clearing these nests with only 3-4 spawners was horifficly difficult.

    I have a bus but I run out of iron and steel very easily, I need more but there are big bitter places all around me, I'm constantly getting attacked occasionally losing a gun here or there, no big deal but I'm spending lots of time running about supporting and rebuilding, I'm extending my construction bots a bit to cover the outposts getting attacked and the bits of my base that are far off the bus.

    I'm not sure whether I should suit up, build a load of follower bots, get in my tank and go clear out some more bases, I don't intend to expand in all these directions but I'm constantly running back and forth delivering ammo.

    In terms of tech I'm at lvl 5/6 in speed and damage for physical, I've got explosive and normal cannon and rockets, and flamethrower which is awesome when I don't set fire to myself!

    Will I be wasting my time going on a war spree OR will it give me some space again? I really really need to find more iron, I don't have enough for a belt of steel (I've one set (48) of yellow furnaces on making steel and it runs our quick (feed by one set of steel furnaces on iron plate), I also struggle with copper, though I have 96 steel furnaces pumping out what I think is 4 yellow belts, Iron plates on the bus also powered by 2 sets of 48 steel furnaces.. my green circuits eat all the copper...

    I need to create some logistic bots, and tidy up a bit but this is my first game with bots at all so i'm not sure what to do!

    I have nuke power unlocked, I could go that route, though the only spot of uranium I have secured is tiny, I was wondering after uranium ammo but that must be crazy expensive to make...

    So is it cheating to use the mod waterfill to create manmade water barriers to minimize the area in wich biters can attack your factory? Like i used the mod for my last K2SE + rampant biters mod (adds 10 tiers of biters as well as a few more variants like fire spitters or nuclear exploding su*cide biters) playthrough and used it to only have 2 paths on wich the biters can attack my factory

    I just trolling myself by playing pyanadon with biters with max water coverage and max cliffs,and god make a joke on me,that is,I dont got any extra iron ore before I got to logistic science pack(which unlocks landfill,cargo ship,train,and iron pit mining),and I only have 150k irons now.

    but thanksfully,I can still obtain iron oxcide to make iron from nothing(nil->wood->coal->coke),but I still afraid that I may run out of space by doing so,and evo factor are high enough to have both red biter and spitter now,so attack are not really a option.

    However, this not as bs as the first tech troll in pyanadon,so this is fine,I am okay with the events that are unfolding currently.

    Hello beautiful Spider thing! with a fusion reactor, one Mk2 battery, three MK2 shields, and 3 exoskels. and explosive rockets (800!), as well as my personal 5 laser defences for close quarters combat, i ride this spidey into anything and she comes out with barely a dent in her energy shield. Holy shmokes batman!
