    My inserters keep trying to add in 15 sulphur before placing the iron plates in and slow down production, any way to make this stop?

    I dont have the time to game as much anymore. I remember back in the day when I used to play online games like World of Warcraft there used to be servers that were 10 times as fast for people to progress for people who had no time. I wonder if there's a mod for this game that could allow us to do just that, meaning 10 times faster production, 10 times faster smelting etc.

    This is in my opinion an essential part of the factory, being able to visualise pretty much useless info of your factory. Well, visualising power might not be useless but shhh.

    You can visualise pretty much anything, here I am visualising the amount of ore going to my smelter.

    I made two versions of the display, the first one being all white and the second one having colored lights depending on the % of the graph being lit up (less than 20% is red, less than 50% is yellow and 50% and above is green).

    If you want to set up this on your world, you'll have 3 constant combinators to deal with

    The first one, IN, (not on the picture) is just to show where to input your signal. You can use either green or red wires comming in (you can see on the picture a green wire comming into the top right arthmetic combinator).
    The second one, R and H, is Range and Height.
    Range is the range of the signal. for exemple, an accumulator gives a signal from 0 to 100 so range would be 100.
    Height is the amount of veritcal lights in the graph. This blueprint allow unlimited size and the circuit must know what the vertical size is. It doesn't need the horizontal size though.

    The last one is T and C, Time and Count.
    Time is the amount of time between each updates, in ticks. 1 second is 60 ticks.
    Count is a constant signal in the system, do not change it.

    Additional note, you can sync different graphs if you use a single T and C constant combinator and connect all the displays from it with wires, or if you want different update times on them, remove C from the constant combinator and connect all the displays with a single C signal going to the bottom left combinator with a red signal. If you turn off the signal and turn it back on, they will all start in sync.

    Does anybody else have noticed the thin barely visible violet/blue lines behind the rails? They can only be seen at a certain zoom range. Is it a bug? See the link for pictures and description.

    Just started the game, can't progress research at all due to not having any automated science packs

    I have no automated science packs, and cannot progress. I need to give the laboratory red beakers, and can't find a single way to get any. The only way is to craft them with the assembling kit which I need to finish the current research to obtain. I'm brand new to this game, and am finding this very frustrating. Please help.

    Also, I'm in campaign mode if that makes a lick of difference.

    Edit: solved. Alt mode showed me my own mess up, I guess I'm just blind.

    Factorio step-by-step advices?

    Hej!

    I need some advices based on your personal experience playing this game. How do you usually transform your base step-by-step? I mean, something like jump-start base -> ??? -> main bus -> ??? -> some kind of megabase -> ???.

    I watched few videos (including Nilaus series), I tried to start few games to reach certain moment and take a look at what I'm doing, but everything I'm doing looks incorrect.

    About my experience (around 430 hrs for now) - I've launched few rockets (around 10 or so in each world) playing vanilla with some qol, I've almost completed K2SE (don't going to complete this one, slightly disappointed or just need to take a break of it, not sure), and now I come back to vanilla with qol (thinking about start ModMash modpack tho).

    And I'm stuck with this step-by-step transformation. Maybe this is some sort of over-engineering or OCD, but I can't even start a new game because I don't know how to make everything perfectly 😅

    UPD: Already asked this question in Discord and get some nice advices, but I'll very apreciate any opinions and advices, so I'll keep this post here for a while 😌

    Loading times

    So not sure if this has been answered or not previously, but prior to 1.0 (before the 1.0 release with all the gui changes), Factorio would load pretty much instantly.

    The only thing that's changed on my PC (hardware wise) is going from a 2TB SSD to a 4TB SSD.

    Trying to get back into the game lately, I've noticed the loading time takes considerably longer than it used to.

    I'm speaking of the game startup load time, not a save file load.

    Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a hardware issue or has something in the game changed where it pre-loads more than it used to? Also I guess it's not too big of a problem, but if anyone knows a fix I'm willing to try it.
