    I'm new with the sushi experience, does it work without a "carrousel" setup ? ( if the belt is just straight ) also I've watched few tutorials on yt and reddit but I don't feel like I really understand how it works, could anyone try to help me ?

    [Mod Idea] - We can turn fluids into carryable items through barrels for a different form of transport, is there a mod to turn items into fluids and back?

    Maybe the ratios are all based on the stack size of the object. There would be assembler recipes to take any item and fluidize it and de-fluidize back into an item.

    If iron plates stack as 100, maybe 100 iron fluid would be equivalent to 100 iron plates?

    Also, for fun, you can still barrel them up so you can transport a whole stack of iron plates in one item, but they'd need to be unbarreled again. This would obviously not be balanced but would be funny.

    It would also be cool if there were assemblers that took 4 fluids instead of just 1, so you could do ever recipe as either all fluid, all items, or some combo. Maybe the assemblers could be connected at corners like the fluid containers are, rather than the center, maybe you'd have both options?

    Would definitely benefit from a mod that gives you a second type of pipe so you could weave underground weave them.

    Idk thought it could be a dumb and fun twist.

    Space Exploration - Has Core Mining Changed ?

    Hi.

    I am plodding along with my first SE base - now nearly 400 hours in ! and I am being confused by core mining.

    My first core mine on Nauvis could fill a blue belt (one side), but a similar installation on a cryonite world only produces 1.2/sec. When I now check the ones on Nauvis they now say they produce 8.0/s.

    My Mining efficiency is 70% and both mines are properly powered. I use 2 core miners per planet. I am discharging the miners into a chest on the cryonite planet - I switched to this method on Nauvis, no change.

    Does anyone know what might be going on ?

    I have tried to check the wiki, but no luck

    Is there an information page with the details of core mining rates anywhere ? There seems to be a massive discrepancy over (real-life) time with the performance of these things.

    Does anybody have a solution, why the train from iron furnace cant drive to the cross section and then down? I checked all the signals, the tracks, but cant find a solution. (The signal behind meme is green)

    How many levels of Mining Productivity is needed for direct loading of ore trains to be efficient?

    I'm currently at Mining Productivity 30, and Robot Speed 16. I have a base running fairly stable at a little over 2k SPM. I'm using bots on mining patches to load to chests, which then load to trains with stack inserters.

    I've seen videos of mining drills loading directly onto trains without any belts, bots, or inserters. I tried setting that up, but at this point, that is still significantly slower than loading trains from boxes using stack inserters. So I'm guessing I don't have high enough level of Mining Productivity yet. Either that or I've set it up wrong.

    At what point is it faster to switch to direct loading from mining drills to trains, rather than stack inserters from boxes? How high does Mining Productivity need to be for this to work?

    Perimeter alarm/circuit condition

    Hello, I am curious to know if there is a way to have a circuit condition trigger when my base is attacked. The reason is that my base has become so large that I can no longer micro manage my walls. I have an artilery train, but I would like to program to automatically go to my outpost stations when that area is attacked. Setting the train do this is easy, however I just cannot find a circuit trigger as you cannot place wires on turrets.

    What would you like to see in a Factorio Expansion?

    I'd personally like to see a social/human element. Something like other humans were also on your ship and you have to manage population, housing-type structures, food, etc. The benefit would be that they could act like primitive robots/drones early on, setting about building the factory. Could add a construction time element to buildings.
