- Finished my first playthrough. It was a blast. Now to 2nd one with mods. (Sorry if this breaks any rules or the flair is wrong)
- my base is finished!!
- Listened to your guys feedback and revised my keychain design. They came out perfect.
- I did a little test to find the optimal position for a biter maze, here are the results!
- A well designed garage for my pink car. (P.s i used the mod "waterfill")

Posted: 05 Mar 2021 04:12 AM PST Do anyone know why the game has undo but no redo functionality? Has this been the subject of a post or FFF? It irks me every time i hit undo just once to many: where did i just undo something? What was the last thing i did before starting to do whatever build i just undid. Somewhere - maybe in the mining outpost i were just in - in the factory an inserter just stopped as it was "undid" or even worse a whole pasted module of multiple machines and stuff stopped or is in the process of being deconstructed by bots. It would be so nice to just be able to hit redo and then not having to think about it anymore. Now i have to travel to the location where something were undid and do it again. A small thing, but this game is so polished now, so there is only the small things left :) EDIT: Typo [link] [comments] | ||

Trying to find good double sided belt creation patterns Posted: 04 Mar 2021 08:43 PM PST Example: https://i.imgur.com/VxEiJbo.png That is the best I could come up with on a slightly compact way to turn 1 belt of X and 1 belt of Y into 2 belts of X and Y. I have a feeling I am just not googling the right words to get a better pattern from someone smarter/more experienced than I am. I am setting up my red chip production in a different way and using a half and half plastic/green chip belt, but I can't find a decent looking/not huge way to turn 8 total belts, 4 green chips and 4 plastic into 8 mixed belts. I can't seem to figure out a compact design for my 1500 spm 'mega' base Posted: 05 Mar 2021 02:36 AM PST Building oil rigs to get 1 mil oil for minute is one thing, but distributing it true my base with pipes that can only hold 1-2k(depends on how many pumps you have). I really don't get it, i look at my base and just can't think of a compact design for it. I have to have 400+ oil refineries but i have no idea how to get them all enough resources. Do i have to make like alot of mini systems? It really frustrates me that pipes lose so much pressure after only 10 pipes. So how do you guys do it? [link] [comments] | ||

Logistics robots weird behavior, and related questions. Posted: 05 Mar 2021 02:42 AM PST Hi there, although I have played (and finished) with the great FACTORIO some several hundred hours, only this time I got to use logistics (I find in-game tips and hints better than previous versions, but still rather poor or directly missing altogether, regarding Logisitcs and Signals). So, although I have seen some YoTub's videos about logisitcs, there are still some questions... Thanks to any kind soul that takes on any or all questions (I numbered them). So. Let's say I have a field of machines and resources in red chests. But the area is big and I am using 2 connected Roboports to cover it. In both areas you need Resource A (blue chest request), but it seems LR (Logisitcs Robots) mostly move resource A -from Red Chests- to Blue Request chests & machines in the side where that resource A mostly comes from. In other words, (1) why do LR seem to "forget" about some Blue Chests in the network. Also, I have poured maybe about 150 LR in that logistics fiend, but at a given time, there only seems to be like 25 of them actually doing something, so (2) what are the others doing?. (3) Does it matter in what Roboport I pour my new made LR, if all Roboports are connected? Final question: (4) do transport belts make any sense anymore, once working with LR ? It feels like I am starting a new way of playing and distributing things now, where belts don't matter.. Thanks again folks! [link] [comments] | ||

Or to get a train to not go to a loading station if it already has a full load. Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||
