    • Fixed trees and stones would block placement of wall ghosts. more
    • Fixed interaction with entities from zoomed-to-world view in editor. more

    • Fixed that pressing Escape in mod settings with unconfirmed changes didn't open the confirmation dialog as in other settings.
    • Fixed crash when mod destroys currently opened locomotive and creates and opens new one right away. more
    • Fixed mods gui for case when the mod title can't fit the space. more
    • Fixed unloadable save related to underground belts in a weird state. more
    • Fixed corner case of drawing wires between ghosts and non-ghost entities. more
    • Fixed a crash when using upgrade planners through the Lua API. more
    • Fixed wrong entity selection in multiplayer when using ghost cursor with rail. more
    • Fixed accumulator charged status for some extreme cases. more

    Modding

    • Limited the name and title of the mod to 100 characters.

    Has anyone built an actual base with Renai Transportation Trains?

    Hi,

    I love train systems (who doesn't?), especially the weirder ones. So naturally Renai Transportation would be the mod for me. However, I've played around with it a little and it seems to crash a lot. I had 3 crashes within maybe 45 minutes of experimentation. (Shame on me, I haven't reported them yet, but I've saved them and I will, I promise!)

    So I'd like to know if anyone has actually managed to implement jumping trains for more than just fiddling around with it. Can you reliably run a base on it?

    I'd love to see this working. The plan would be to build another ribbon base with automatic train deconstruction, but this time using half of the rail length for going left and jumping across the other half of the rail length which is going right. But I kind of don't want to commit to it if the mod crashes every 15 minutes...

    I know that the mod mentions that train jump pads aren't really usable and that's perfectly fine for me. But without the magnetic ramps working 100% reliably this idea would be dead on arrival and so far it's not looking too great :/

    My Random Recipe run

    I saw this mod posted by u/Villfuk02 a couple weeks ago and gave it a shot over the last few days. I thought this mod was quite refreshing, it feels like going back to my first factory where I didn't know the ingredients by heart yet and the ratios seemed mysterious.

    I played with enemies off and turned the water up for some added geographical fun. I was going for speed and didn't work out any of the production calculations ahead of time.

    Highly recommend this mod for a "vanilla adjacent" experience that requires some critical thinking and original ratio calculations. And it seems like it will have very high replay value! Thanks for the fun mod u/Villfuk02!

    Some fun tidbits about my recipe list:

    • I didn't end up needing light or heavy oil for anything required to launch a rocket, so I stuck with basic oil processing
    • Several advanced products required red and green science packs as ingredients. If I had realized this earlier on I probably would have put them on my bus
    • My favorite wacky ingredients tree was: Stone furnace --> pistol --> steam engine --> flying robot frame
    • Construction bots were super easy to build out, only required some plastic and blue science packs
    • Steel was created by smelting stone bricks. Even after hours of playing this factory I still get confused by this briefly when I look at the steel plate smelting area.

    My bare-bones mall area was a spaghetti disaster, which made it one of my favorite parts of this factory

    Hey all, I've wanted to get factorio for a long time now, but the spidertron triggers my arachnaphobia pretty hard, the small buggers I can deal with but the spidertron is spoopy, are there any mods to retexture it or otherwise make it look less.....spidery? I would be interested in a cool mech that can travel long distances and do what other vehicles can't

    Hello everyone !

    After a good 1000 hours of work ingame on that base and a bunch more on my trusted notebook over more than a year, I have finished my latest Megabase.

    This is a train based megabase, featuring the Haphollas Train System (HTN). The base was made to be beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. It is not efficient (to a certain point).

    Nilaus kindly reviewed it and made a video of it which will be available in 30 minutes (18:00 UTC+1/CET)
