Feature request: Place blueprint once to determine absolute grid alignment settings Posted: 10 Mar 2021 03:13 AM PST Hi, It can be a pain to get the exactly correct absolute grid alignment for large blueprints. The green box in the blueprint settings becomes basically invisible at that scale and adjusting it by hand is hard. What I usually do is do a rough alignment with the green box, then try to place it and count the tiles by which I'm off, then add or subtract them to the alignment numbers. But that's really fiddly. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way that I don't know of that lets you precisely align a 300x300 (or so) blueprint to an existing copy without a lot of trial and error? If not, I think it would be very handy to have a "place blueprint by hand once to determine grid settings" function. Plop it down once, let it count out the alignment shift numbers, done! (To be clear, I'm obviously not talking about the tiling size, that would still have to be done manually) Any objections or ideas? [link] [comments] | ||

Trouble (bug?) with Minions achievement :( Posted: 10 Mar 2021 06:04 AM PST So yesterday I was having a great time with my buddy: we were both just missing a couple of achievements, so we had set out to be Lazy Bastards :D We managed cheerfully, and after that we continued the map to get him to be Golem - I already had it, so I just drove the train that almost killed him :D At that point, we were both left with only the Minions achievement: he shoot out a few defenders and noticed the ticker going up, but only up to five, so we quickly realized what needed to be done to achieve it. I tried doing the same, but my ticker didn't move from zero. We then loaded up an older omegabase of ours - well, he had performed all the bootstrapping up to setting up the rocket with a belt of satellites, but we went on together more than a hundred hours to build a megabase first, and then an even bigger one with city blocks - so the ingredients were all available there.. We quickly set up a couple of boxes to build defenders and ran out to test them (we had never even tried them): he shoot out a hundred of them, got the achievement, and cleaned a bunch of tough biters (and then was himself killed, ahah!), and while I did the same (except for the dying part), my ticker continued not moving away from zero :( I tried reloading this last map in single player, but nothing changed. Anybody has any tips for solving this? I'm a bit sad.. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
