    I knew it existed for ages but it didn't look fun. Yesterday evening I gave the demo a try while looking for resource/base/city management game. Oh boy was i mistaken, spent most of the evening and most of my Saturday playing and still only just now started rebuilding the railroad in the 5th tutorial mission.

    Honestly I can't remember when a demo was do addictive and I'm playing games for over 20 years.

    How, just how and can a factory builder be such a time sink. Every time it's "oh let's sort this supply chain and I'll do some chores.... Oh wait that isn't really running well, let's fix that quickly"

    So I'm returning to an old project. Initially I wanted to extend Bobs to make it more complex. To have an approach similar to py. I ended up finding a mod that joined py, angel and bob. But I wanted something else. Let's see if I can create what my mind imagines. (this is just the first steps)

    After playing Factorio for a few months, I've only just realised you can configure different Deconstruction Planners with whitelists/blacklists, so have just set one up to ignore trees, rocks and cliffs which is really useful as I'm overhauling my defensive walls and rip out my existing defences much more easily.

    So what other features have you found and wished you'd known sooner?

    I think I've overdone the Kovarex

    I built a 4 centrifuge Kovarex plant, no circuitry so it soaks up a fair bit of U-235 before it starts outputting, but it's designed to "self prime", so I stocked one with enough for it start working, and left it running to get the others up to speed as well.

    I seem to have overdone it though as I now have an iron chest full of 3.2k U-235, and no U-238. And that's before I've added in the beacons that it's spaced for. It's feeding a 12 reactor nuclear plant, so I guess I need to up the Uranium mining and start building nuclear missiles!

    MOD IDEA: Two player competitive Factorio whereby each player must build biters to launch against the other player, whilst simultaneously building their own defenses.

    Any tips for a new player?

    I have a decent factory and currently just got done setting up nuclear energy and heated boilers. I just want some tips on the logistical portion of the game. I currently have enough to keep me going but I havnt started automating science past blue but don't know how to handle it without fucking the rest of my factory logistically
