- Seriously? What's even the point of playing, then?
- Version 1.1.12
- Item on ground has light masks, item in the inserter doesn't. Unplayable, 0/10, game uninstalled
- Just finished the Vanilla to Rocket. Where to now?
- Biter based wood burner: automatically burn excess wood with flamers
- My sushi science! It consumes 5.625 science/s(337.5/m), is horizontally tileable, recycling of unused items and has auto shutoff for input shortages. Tiled 4 wide will consume 1/2 a blue belt (1350 science/min).
- Steam Back Up Power Methods
- Turning off RSO mid-game
- bad train parking problem - why is this happening?
- Is it a mod?
- Is there a way to hide biter nests (on map) via mod or some other way?
- Anyone got an up to date version of this blueprint footprint mod?
- Is there an easy way to update headless server (windows)
- Has anyone had to put up a random pole like this to make things work?
- IGN had a good review of Factorio
- Factorio as a MMORPG for train drivers - a factory full of manually operated trains
- Hello, I'm new. Why isn't my inserter working?
- The devs brought blueprint flipping mods into vanilla, yet they didn't implement mods to change fluid input/outputs. I would think these two would synergize very well?
- Missing Parts - Is there any way to stop these from flashing on the map? (apart from making hundreds of modules)
- Hotkey / something similar to quickly change recipes
- I’ve never had a fancy enough computer to buy games in Steam, so I currently own the straight-from-the-website version of Factorio. Now that I’ve finally I upgraded my computer, is there a way to transfer my game to Steam? I don’t know enough about Steam to know if this is even possible or not..

Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental. [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jan 2021 06:12 AM PST So as part of expanding my base I moved from steam engines to nuclear plants. I decided to leave one of my blocks of steam in place as a back up for any huge spikes or just expanding to quickly. So I connected it up to a switch and added a few accunaltors and set it to switch on and off depending on their charge level. As predicted the inevitable power spike occurred when I dropped an upgrade planner across most of the base and the steam power kicked in and solved the problem. What it has left me with a weird situation where my power now yoyos up and down as the switch just flicks on and off as the accumulators are charged and then emptied. Has anyone come up with a solution to stop this happening in general, aside from just adding some more reactors as that just moves the problem further along in time. [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:44 AM PST Hello, I am looking for a mod where you can split up fluid wagons, as you could back in the old days. Does it exist, and if so, can I get a link? [link] [comments]
Is there a way to hide biter nests (on map) via mod or some other way? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:41 AM PST I want to hide biter nests from map, or even better make them less visible without hiding. The problem is I cannot see copper ore nor oil, because everything is red from nests. I tried looking for mod to change color of ores, but except of mod for making ores dull (didn't help) and mod that was giving "realistic ore colours" I couldn't find anything of use for me. I also tried mod custom map colors, but it doesn't feature changing biter colors or changing color of ores. Bob's enemies changed colors of biters... Maybe it has to do with forces? Here's little screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/BjKj9bv coal is very visible, stone quite visible, iron ore - decent, but copper ore I find only on closest/almost closest zoom. [link] [comments]

Is there an easy way to update headless server (windows) Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:19 AM PST Hey guys I run a windows headless server for at home use. We play on experimental and I was wondering if there is an easy way to upgrade to the newest build? All of these incremental updates have me thinking about this. Currently I download the zip and copy over all my saves and configuration files to the new build. It's not the end of the world but I was wondering if there is some auto update feature I didn't know of. [link] [comments]

Factorio as a MMORPG for train drivers - a factory full of manually operated trains Posted: 15 Jan 2021 10:44 AM PST Hi all! Are there servers out there where all trains are manually operated? Like a MMORPG full of train drivers. People joining the server when it's the start of their shift. Taking their car to go to their train-station, parking it there. Hopping on to the train and then follow today's schedule. Reading the track signals, arriving on time, feeding the factory. Ideally in this game mode, their are no big buffer chests at the unloading zone. You have to arrive in a narrow time frame to keep the production going. Another set of people work on expanding the factory. Do those new parts need material from other areas by train? Send a request to the train network supervisor. They will built the necessary tracks and signals. But obviously you can't work next to active tracks. Those segments will be blocked temporarily. The shift manager is informed, re-routes are planned and the factory manager is informed of potential delays. Additional idea: People spawn in the residential area of the map. They take cars and drive on designated (and potentially congested) roads to their respective hand-over train stations. Enjoying the fun of commuting from the comfort of your home. Posted: 15 Jan 2021 09:40 PM PST The error that you get when trying to flip a blueprint with fluid inputs/outputs (chem plant, oil refinery) could be fixed if they implemented a mod such as Fluid Permutations into vanilla I feel like these would work together very well and avoid this issue, at least for chemplants and refineries. Is there a reason that they chose to bring blueprint flipping mods into vanilla but not fluid permutation mods? I don't really see any logical reason why a building couldn't change its internal piping considering you can even rotate the entire building on a whim [link] [comments]

Hotkey / something similar to quickly change recipes Posted: 16 Jan 2021 02:13 AM PST I remember seeing in some speedrunners video that there is a way to change a recipe of say a assembling machine and then doing the same to adjacent ones more quickly. Can someone enlighten me please =) [link] [comments]
