    For the last years, I read every Friday Facts. Even when I hadn't played for a year or more, even though I am not a programmer and didn't understand what was actually going on, I was happy to read the newest developments of my favourite in-development game.

    I would absolutely love to read a whole book about the development of Factorio and wouldn't even be mad if it was half recycled Friday Facts. I got the impression that Factorio is not just a superb genre-defining game, the Super Mario Bros 1 of automation games, but also handled with extraordinaire passion, care and polish.

    I would like to read about this, the ups and downs, how the Factorio Team was gathered, about the super early builds of the game and the first fan feedback, about problems in development and how they were overcome, concept art, concepts of never implemented features, the outline of the never finalized campaign and much more. Im am sure in over 7 years of development, a lot of interesting stories have accumulated.

    At the moment Factorio seems to take as much time to be refined as ever, so of course there is no room for such a project. But maybe as a project after Factorio is done (this made me shudder to think), as an intermediate product before the next big thing comes after.

    I guess it wouldn't be a worldwide bestseller, but I'm sure that the dedicated and not small fanbase would love it.

    Google does not provide any results. I was hoping that maybe they would go the path of "Oxygen not included" and add some post-rocket content.

    maybe the first rocket should not be a win, but would give space science that would unlock actual new technologies involved in further space exploration, rather then just the repeatables we have now. (maybe we can get and process new ores and fluids from space? use them in new production chains for more advanced rocket parts? rocket launches could trigger a fundamental change in biter tactics that would require new weapons and technologies?)

    I suppose they might be hesitant to do this, as many people who play do not end up making it to rockets, thus it may not sell well.

    It is truly a testament to the Diligence of the Devs that I cannot think of anything else I feel should be added to the game.

    Server Latency

    Me and one of my friends really love to play factory and have set up a self-hosted dedicated server (so one of us doesn't need to AFK all day). When I connect to the server I have some massive latency when doing anything. Taking/leaving items, driving etc. all have big delays between me pressing the button and it actually happening. When I look at the server I average 10-15ms of latency so it shouldn't really be as excessive as it is. Is this an issue with how the game is made or is it an issue with our internet (we both have very capable connections so can't imagine it would be)? Any reasoning would be appreciated and potential fixes even more so.

    Mod recommendations?

    I recently started a playthrough with Krastorio 2, Space Exploration, and AAI industry. I don't really like all of the changes to the vanilla game, and would rather play with mods that focus more on adding content than changing the existing content. Would Space Exploration by itself be a good choice for me? If so, what other mods should I add in? And if not, what mods should I use instead? I'm fine with mods that only add content after the vanilla game is already completed, but I also want to experience new content before beating the vanilla game. Thanks in advance!

    Anybody tried proccesing units together with red and green circuits, moduled?

    I was thinking about a moduled late game setup for processing units with on place production of green and red circuits. As ratios are somewhat close to 1:1:1 (155 blue : 133 red : 111 green) i thought that would be a neat idea. All moduled with prod3 and speed3.

    The problem is you need 3 input belts (Copper, Iron, Plasic) per setup shown in the picture and thus a fair amount of splitters and belts. That might kill the benefit from not having to ship red and green around.

    Some general thoughts? Anybody having a similar moduled on place production for processing units worth sharing? Or any ideas on making it better?

    Input lanes on the right from top: Iron/Plastic, Plastic/Iron, Copper

    Input: 6 Plastic/Sec, 35 Iron/Sec, 41 Copper/Sec

    Output: 2,94 Processing Units/Sec

    I've working on this for a while...I put all the thing on a train, even satellites and iron sticks! The latest 1.1. is allowing me to level up the train network with the new station naming and train limit settings. I am up to about 500 trains and 3000 satellites.

    The world originally started on the death world setting and the perimeter is under constant assault, but with lasers and flames up to level 15, there is no danger as long as the power stays on.
