Balanced Train loading / unloading with multiple items. Posted: 11 Nov 2020 07:35 AM PST Hello I have stumbled across this solution to create a Balanced train loader or unloader. Which would only load items in a chest (or unload items from a chest) only if it that chest has less than (or more than, in the case of unloading) the average number of total items in every chests. This solution is great (and I have been using it extensively) but it does have one limitation, however. It only works with chests containing a single item type. I would love to figure out a solution to balance load/unload chests that could contain different item types. Did anybody figure out a solution for this? [link] [comments] | ||

Unplayable multiplayer lag even with fast computer and fast internet Posted: 10 Nov 2020 08:26 PM PST My friend and I are trying to play a multiplayer game but the lag is insane and unplayable for whoever is not the host. Both of us have very powerful computers and we can each play the game solo on our savegame with perfect 60 updates per second. My computer has an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x and his has an Intel Core i7 6850k. Both of us are on extremely good fiber internet and we live about 2 miles from each other in San Francisco. We are both on wired internet and not wifi. The fiber internet is symmetric gigabit. Here is my fast.com score. As you can see it is pretty good. We are playing multiplayer through Steam. I pressed F4 to show multiplayer debug info and it shows him being between 9 and 21 ticks behind. I am on Linux and he is on Windows. The problem is also reproducible on my 2019 16" Macbook Pro on macOS (incidentally the Mac uses 200% CPU as a client in multiplayer and causes the fans to spin really loudly whereas it barely uses any CPU in single player). So, what's wrong? I searched everywhere and it seems everyone's problems are caused by slow computers and slow internet, neither of which is an issue here. [link] [comments] | ||

But when I start to connect a second outpost, using one line grid, then it simply don't work anymore. I finished the game twice, and I still feel very stupid, because I just wasted 2h and could not figure out the signal rules for a simple connection. I have two outposts out side of the base, and two stations inside the base. They should share one single line of in and out. And... Doesn't work... I am so frustrated! [link] [comments] | ||

Also i wonder how do you use trains in it: do you make standard routes to refuel factories with resources or do some kind of amount check up with logic? I barely manage to send rocket and mostly make achievements for now so my questions might be a little basic. [link] [comments] |
