- I feel like I’m playing the game wrong
- My fluctuating and alternating iron statistics since creating a rail line to relocate my iron mine.
- This is my nuclear fuel processing centre, including Kovarex and fuel reprocessing. Whenever Kovarex would fill up to 82 u235, it lets 2 slip past and onto the belt to storage/fuel manufacture. No circuits involved, but bots move spent fuel and u238 around.

- Finished vanilla game twice, should I go for a mega-base next or a mod like Krastorio 2?

- I'm so sorry for asking such a basic question but what are all the ways to increase the player's inventory size in a vanilla game? I had a technology that did it some and now I'm finding out armor can increase it more. I literally can't find anything online other than people asking for mods.

Posted: 05 Jul 2020 03:53 AM PDT I've started construction on a new oil refinery and I am uncertain whether I want to use barrels or pipes since the area where I'm sending the fluids to is largely made out of pipes but I was busy integrating a logistics system and was wondering if I should use barrels since they take up less space and allow for easier transportation. Furthermore should I be using fluid wagons or cargo wagons filled with barrels to transport fluids extremely long distances? [link] [comments] | ||

I feel like I’m playing the game wrong Posted: 04 Jul 2020 10:10 PM PDT I'm on my first play through (25hrs in) and everything I have is just randomly placed with no real design thought or planning. I'm currently researching red, blue, green, grey packs and it's barely pumping out packs at all (it does the job still though but is nowhere near the efficiency of all the other builds I've seen on this sub). Should I be spending my time taking apart what I have built to make researching more efficient or should I just keep going and keep this in hindsight so I can adapt my playstyle for my next play through. TL:DR, first play through, spaghetti factory with little efficiency. Redesign, restart or keep going and make changes where necessary and in my next play through learn from my experience in this one? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 06:03 PM PDT My 2nd victory resulted in ~70SPM and I've launched a couple dozen rockets and satellites. I was debating on trying to convert this save into a mega-base with a 1kSPM goal but I'm honestly intimidated. I have very little experience with trains and beacons/modules (not even accounting for the logistics of starting a mega base, etc...) I feel like trying a modded play through with Krastorio 2 is less intimidating as I imagine I'll be able to adapt my main-bus style game play to something new. But I'm not sure honestly, any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] | ||

Question about how offshore pumps work. Posted: 05 Jul 2020 07:18 AM PDT Does it matter if offshore pumps have their own dedicated pipe system to various sources? For example, if 1 offshore pump can power 20 boilers and 40 steam engines, could I just add another offshore pump into that pipe network at the source and double my boiler/steam engines down the line? Or would I need to add another offshore pump and pipe it directly to the start of a new 20 boiler/40 steam engine line? Thank you in advance for the help :) [link] [comments] | ||
Youtube playthroughs without already made bluprints? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 12:11 AM PDT So I enjoy watching and playing this game alot, finished it one time more than half a year ago, and played like 50+ hours 1 more year before that without finishing, but I kinda ruined my experience by watching youtubers and using their already made bluprints for everything without having to think for myself, calculate ratios and enjoy the most interesting part of the game (a shame for being a computer science graduate, a lazy one tho), but now I'm determined to play it with no downloaded bluprints beside the belt spliters.. that one I cannot understand at all haha. But since I can't play non-stop and I like watching this game too, are there are youtubers that played the game without making a big bus and copy-pasting the "mall" and those ultra efficient bluprints that everyone uses? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 02:28 AM PDT Hey guys, I started a play trough with Krastorio 2 and Space Exploration earlier today but I stopped playing after a bit because there was this annoying bug. Every time I placed a belt, powerpole, furnace etc this massage pops up: "test Coreminer.on_entity_created still going entitytransport-belt 283595". I was also unable to craft or find power poles to get my lab running, so I placed some in the map editor. I´m playing on the newest version of the game and the mods are updated. My modlist:

So I messed around in helmod and came up with one rate: 1 blue belt of solid fuel feeds 300 steam boilers. Can you guys confirm if this is right?
