    Balancing

    • Wave defense difficulty will scale with online player count.
    • Wave defense hard difficulty will give 50% less bounty on each kill.

    Sounds

    • New sound for small explosion.
    • Combat robots now have their own explosion sound.
    • Shotgun has more variety so it sounds less repetitive.
    • Vehicle impacting wooden objects (e.g chests) now sounds subtly different to crashing into trees.
    • A few minor volume level changes including lowering the offshore pump and electric furnace.

    Bugfixes

    • Fixed a crash when saving fails due to mod issues. more
    • Fixed a crash that would happen when the player entered a vehicle when some biters were aggroed at them. more
    • Fixed that cargo wagons built while a train is moving didn't animate the doors correctly. more
    • Fixed an error when using modded night vision defined in zip files. more
    • Fixed a performance issue with assembling machine result slot tooltips. more
    • Fixed that items marked with the mod-openable flag couldn't be opened from the quickbar in some cases. more
    • Fixed that train could fail with chain signal sequence escape maneuver when path goes multiple times through a rail segment.
    • Possibly fixed seam on terrain at certain position and zoom level. more
    • Fixed that sometimes wave defense would trigger victory before killing all spawners. more

    Scripting

    • Fixed that writing to LuaForce::stack_inserter_capacity_bonus was limited to 200 instead of 254.

    Modding

    • Changed definitions of map colors of beacons, pipes, heat pipes, roboports and steam engines, so they can be overridden by friendly_map_color. more
    • Added ParticlePrototype::ended_on_ground_trigger_effect.
    • Added fuel burnt results to the item tooltip.
    • Loader remnants will pick rotation the same way as underground belts do. more

    I thought I turned off biters so that I could properly learn the mechanics of the game, only when I start looking for uranium do I realise that I'd just set the starting area to max. I'm at blue science, no military science, no tanks, turrets, nukes anything. I didn't think I'd need stone at all so I don't have any.

    What's the best thing to do in this situation? Rush tank and trample them? Rush artillery? Make a border around the base? (It's really big)

    I don't have logistic bots yet so I'm still building manually.

    I won't play factorio again!

    The reasons:

    - It's too damned addictive. One more smelting row, one more copper train, just do this small thing and go to sleep (5 hour task).

    - It needs 1/3 of the time planning and researching for efficiency than playing. Maybe more. Its super fun but... my job needs the same amount of planning before programming.

    - The last time I played a map it took me 270 hours to finish it.

    Love the game, I spread it's love but 270 hours are enough!

    22 hours in game and here is my messy base so far and any critique is wellcome: My first base

    I am overwhelmed by the possibilities we unlock after every research but i love that mainly because every tech is so appealing fun, everything is so well explained and i can take my time to understand how things works.

    Just unlocked logistic and i was amazed by that technology. It was a joy setting roborports and watch robots flying around building and bringing me stuff but right now they are to slow.

    My next goal is research every logistic upgrade. I can't wait to reach the point where my base will be fully automated. I am having a great time and fun.

    Good job Developers because you have made a masterpiece.

    Sorry about my poor english as is not my main language and thank you for reading.

    Im looking for a mod that expands the end game a bit, bether radras, bether bots, bether power production, ... is there enything of the sort out there? im aware of things like armor and radars having simple mods that add more of them but is there a big mod that ads a new end game? or does someone have a list of super end game mods they like to use? i would strongly prefere if the items you unlock trought this are super hard to make and something you can work towards.

    Does anyone else find that they press "q" to deselect their tool... I'm in Visio doing a network diagram and after selecting the connection point tool I keep pressing q to go back to the pointer tool... Just me? Can I go home to my factory now?

    Can a request chest be used by the logistic network?

    As you can see I have a roboport and a requester chest with supplies to keep defenses up. Will this chest be used or will I need to transport the items to a different chest so they will use them?

    Messy factory designs?

    I think based on the aesthetic of Factorio it encourages you not to be ashamed of created messy factories with conveyer belts everywhere running to the weirdest areas. Maybe it might be good to see some messy yet efficient factories every once in a while to add a little bit more diversity to the thread and encourage new ways to play Factorio.
