    Solar Panel & Accumulator Build Covering 1 Radar Area - Lit and Unlit Blueprints

    I wanted to build my own Solar Panel blueprint after using another popular one on over 850k+ solar panels in one of my maps. I found the other popular one used too many roboports, and wasn't custom fit for Radars so I would end up using more Radars than I needed too; Radars consume a lot of energy.

    Lamps and Accumulators at Night

    The main idea behind this solar build is the entire blueprint fits on one radar area. One blueprint has Lamps and the other does not. Enjoy!

    Requirements:

    • 3850 solar-panel
    • 3234 accumulator
    • 169 substation
    • (105 small-lamp)
    • 20 roboport
    • 1 radar

    factorissmo too as well i use them for lab and furance as well..( as you can see science icon on factorissmo building that is lab :) )

    Have you seen factories that "look like" things?

    I decided to create a twirly swirly blue circuits setup yesterday (you can't do grids all the time!) And it made me wonder if people ever build bases that "look like" things.

    Timely example: A circuits setup that looks like a christmas tree perhaps?

    Chests - How do I build them?

    I've been playing for several hours now, and for whatever reason, I can't seem to build any kind of chest other than wooden? Am I missing something? I can create steel plates, but no iron or steel chests.

    Modded train confusions: LTN giving error "No station supplying [a lot of things] found in network 0xffffffff"

    Ok I will try my best to give as much info as possible here. I know absolutely 0 regarding trains and I tried my best to find a blueprint book that had it all set up and I could just set it and forget it. And here I am two days later with a head ache. The blueprint book that I've been using is Brians Trains (for Factorio v0.17). I followed the guide on his page describing how to set up the constant combinators for the requesting and supplying stations and this is what I've got and keeps happening. I have come across the unique issue where it has successfully sent a request for iron and stone ONCE each, and then it keeps giving me these errors that they can't be found in the system. I've got five different 1-1 trains waiting in my depot which is located directly between the pick up and drop off points. I have also tried to force trains to go to the pickup/dropoff sites and the inserters just refuse to actually put anything in the trains unless they were sent automatically. I'm at a loss with what is wrong here.

    Any help would be much appreciated, and happy holidays :)

    Question on Industrial Revolution calculations

    Dear colleagues,

    A friend of mine and I have started with the Industrial Revolution mod a couple of days ago. We are having a blast with the new recipes so far! Right now we are busy changing the entire base to an electricity-powered system.

    A problem we are having is that none of the calculations with respect to how many miners/smelters/assemblers we need in order to fill a yellow belt seem to be correct. We are constantly on the low end.

    For instance, iron mining:
    - Yellow belts are 900 items/minute, that is 15 items/second
    - Electric miners: 12 per belt (1.25 ore per second)
    - Electric smelters: 38.4 sec for 12 iron ingots, i.e. 3.2 sec per ingot. Crafting speed 2: 1.6 sec per ingot. So for one full belt we need 15/1.6 = 9,375 smelters. However, 24 smelters still seem unable to fill 1 yellow belt.

    Moving on to plates and rods, lets say we feed 1 full yellow belt of iron ingots:
    - Plates: 1 ingot per second for 1 plate, so 15 assemblers should suffice;
    - Rods: 1 ingot per second for 2 rods, so 7,5 assemblers should suffice.

    What are we missing here? Thanks, and happy holidays!

    Suggestions for overhaul mod packs after vanilla?

    Trying to arrange a modpack for after we achieve our science goal. Additionally: How would you guys rank the big overhaul mods in terms of challenge/difficulty? I know of AngelBobs, Industrial Revolution and Pyanodon but what are the other big overhaul mods that would be good for single/multiplayer? Thanks!
