    What's up y'all, you guys probably don't know who I am, but I need some help.

    I can't seem to get my friends (or anyone, for that fact) to play Factorio. So, I've devised a project that will try to get them to play. I'm making a YouTube review/why you should play of Factorio, and I'm looking for some factories to showcase in the video.

    I'm gonna be real with you guys here; I'm average at this game, but i enjoy it a lot. I've got more than 200 hours up on the game and i've had a blast. I just need a bit of help getting gameplay footage. My YouTube channel is very small too, about 45 subscribers, so it might seem pointless. But i want to do this anyway! I want to try and get some variance in the video, everyone builds factories differently and i want to express that using the visuals.

    So, if it's spaghetti or a main-bus heaven, then let me know! All Factories are welcome! I'll credit you and your enginnering in the video! I'll be posting the finished product here in about a week if everything goes to plan. Thank you all for your support!

    I have 9 hours into my world right now and I'm not really sure what should be the next step, would like some pointers. I feel a bit stuck / overwhelmed.

    For the past 2-3 hours, I haven't made much progress. I just went around destroying biter camps, improving my factory a little with upgrades, installing more turrets, adding more steam engines and research labs.

    I have electric mining drills, steel furnaces, a car, and a completely automatic system that refuels furnaces and automatically creates science packs to power 18 labs at the same time. And not really much more than that except some assembly machines for ammo, belts, steel pipes, walls etc.

    In the past 2-3 hours while doing small little upgrades, I've just been researching any random science I possible could with the red and green packs because it's a background process, which means I now have this:

    And now... I don't know what to do next. I researched like 15 things in the background without really paying attention to them (since I was busy killing biters and improving my factory) that I lost track of what I actually researched and how they all relate to one another.

    With my current factory I can still easily do a lot of research with the red and green packs but without an idea of what to do next I'd just be standing AFK while waiting for the labs to do everything.

    My own thought was to try and set up solar energies first (and accumulators, which need batteries, which need other materials... so work from the ground up to that). Or should I first research the blue or black science pack? Or maybe something else?

    Also because I did so much research without really paying attention to them, I feel overwhelmed and lost. Batteries need Sulfuric Acid? Which needs Sulfur and Water and has to be made in a Chemical Plant? I don't know how to get water. Sulfur also needs Petroleum Gas? I have no clue what these things are and it looks like I'll have to do a lot of wiki reading...

    Am I the last to notice the cut/paste history?

    .17 brought the neat cut/copy and paste, and it was only last night by bad keyboarding that I discovered that shift+scroll works through all the old ones, just like it would with a blueprint book.

    With how many months it took me to notice this, I figured I'd post a tip. :)

    How can I make this entire thing better? I'm not really an expert at trains.. and this used to work but the longer and more trains have kinda made it fail, i don't know how to fix this, and this happens every 5 or so minutes, bringing the iron of my base to a stop.

    Hi,

    I know there are the different scenarios built into the game already, but they generally don't allow you to play the full game just with an alternate win condition.

    I was curious if anyone was aware of a mod that recreates the 'Supply Challenge' scenario. In other words, you have to deliver X amount of Y material(s) to win the game but without the timed portion.

    It'd be intriguing to have a variable amount and a random item or items required, generated at map creation.

    army mod?

    Hey, i was just reading FFF-326 and i was wondering:

    is there a mod, that let you create robots or something that spawns entity like a biter nest but they are attacking the biters and not you? So you could build an army against the biters and the army would start Attaking on their own? Without you telling them to do so?
