Is there a way to disable the victory message? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:24 AM PDT I did a quick search and didn't find one. Background: Josef 2 (self-expanding factory) is running nicely now. It's starting rockets and producing science, so when I let it run overnight it stopped and displayed the victory message after launching the first rocket. Which means I recorded 5 hours of victory message footage, isn't that nice? :D As I'm planning to test this on a few different maps and release a blueprint version for others to test it, it would be nice to be able to somehow get rid of the victory message. I could just include a silo in the starter blueprint and launch a rocket in advance using infinite stuff, but that would be a bit of an ugly solution... [link] [comments] | ||

Does it make sense to install space exploration in a "finished" world Posted: 14 Jun 2021 06:06 AM PDT I've heard about space exploration recently and think it looks great, but I'm not sure if i want to make an entirely new world now, when the mod apparently just really starts after finishing the normal game. I have however just started my first rocket in another world. Does it makes sense to just install SE now, or should I just start a new world for that. [link] [comments] | ||

Disallow certain trains from certain tracks/ stations from regions? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 12:37 AM PDT Only found old posts, maybe there is new stuff. The factory grows. So want my trains. I have an inner mall mini train system 1-1 that are used for a series of stuff. If I would connect 2-6-2 trains now and one would find its way into my center, all hell breaks loose. So my question is - is there a way to just add regions certain trains (stations - I'm using LTN) are not allowed to take? My favorite take would be to put a train size limit on the inner core, so everything longer will need to find a way around. Alternatively I will probably just build a second rail network around my current one and introduce myself to repacking train to train. There are smarter ways to plan a base, but I'm not. My base does not have any walls and not many turrets, and there are many biter nests outside my pollution cloud. Im getting very paranoid if they expand closer to my base and get triggered and start to destroy my poorly defended base. Is it better to just make a giant wall surrounding my base with turrets or keep on clearing close biter nests? I do not really plan on expanding anytime soon. [link] [comments] | ||

How do I bring together three or more items into an assembler? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 09:40 PM PDT Just started playing yesterday, and I'm stuck at producing black research flasks. So far everything has been "relatively" straightforward (I'd put more quotes around "relatively" if I could - I had to completely deconstruct my factory twice now because it was running so poorly), but now I need black science flasks and I haven't been able to figure out how to bring together three different items in a way that keeps things flowing and doesn't require me to supervise constantly. I've looked up screenshots of "science factories", but all the ones I've seen are incredibly dense and have lots of bits I don't recognize. [link] [comments] | ||
Possibility to abort console commands?? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 05:58 AM PDT Hi guys, I recently tried playing around with console commands, specifically the map reveal command (game.player.force.chart()). For the area size I purposefully typed 20000 instead of 150. Is there a way to abort console commands, so the map doesn't become so large my game and computer crashes due to becoming out of memory? I could re-start the map, or load a save from before the command and use a lower value like 15000, but it took so many hours to generate, I'd rather save what I have now so I can just look at it. I had it autosaving every hr for the last 12 hr. The purpose was to generate a large map of my current death world map so I can plan it out. Thanks for the help. [link] [comments] | ||
