    Just started and I've never been so excited on a settings screen

    I use an alternative keyboard layout and usually have to spend a decent amount of time rebinding before I can comfortably play any game. You can imagine my frustration with so many games' lack of support and other nonsensical decisions in the options menu.

    So as usual right after opening Factorio for the first time I headed to the settings, and as soon as I saw my movement keys prebound to WRAS I started laughing with disbelief. Never ever have I seen a game take my layout into account before.

    Really strange thing to make me so happy, and I'm going into this game blind so I have no idea what I'll think about it yet (although this tiny thing already gave me a great first impression), but either way I had to praise this idea. I wish every game were so configurable/considerate! <3

    This has been bugging me this entire week an if anyone has an idea than that would be very much appreciated. I personally think its like a Tycoon type game since i find it a bit similar to OpenTTD and RCT2. Interested in hearing your guys thoughts!

    So here's my starter base. I am about to progress to my temporary belt base (visible on top). On the left you can see copper and stone mines already setup but not yet connected to my new smelting array on the top. In the lower right corner you can see iron and coal I also plan to bring it.

    The question is: by belt or by train already?

    To give you a sense for scale (sorry, no banana) the copper mine is 500 tiles to the left and 200 tiles below the smelting array. So I probably have to put out 700 belts (2x, because 2 red full belts).

    I've been playing Factorio for about 4 years now, but out of all the things I've learned there are 2 things that I just can't seem to stop doing:

    Playing with biters turned off, and building directly on or next to recourse patches.

    Help, I accidentally made a stupid username

    So my normal username would be jimsel or TheOyeMan. I tried doing some multiplayer and I didnt see jimsel was already taken, so I just thought it didnt work and I just pretty much typed some random words into it to see what error message it gave. Now I am authenticated as dingueridgoo..

    How to fix this :'(. Now in my singleplayer I also go around as "dingueridgoo"
