    TIL you can set up filters by drag-and-dropping items from inventory. Much more convenient than searching through the whole menu of items

    Massive bot deconstruction mechanic?

    I can't figure out how bots exactly distribute destroyed/pickedup items.. or how does the game decide when will my presonal bots be enoguh or the bots from my base Roboports will have to help out...

    Lets say I got a built layout of 48 electric furnaces.. with appropriate belts, power poles, inserters.. everything. So there's hundreds of items here. Now let's say I go remove everything (ALT+D on the entire area), or I just CUT it... at this point 25 of my personal bots fly out (lets stick to just 1 personal Roboport for now) and start removing items and putting them into my inventory. But for some reason the game decides that this is not enough.. and since I'm in my base, covered by the logistics network, here comes another 100 bots and start helping out. They also pick up items and put them away - but not into my inventory.

    So I have 2 questions:

    1. When exactly does the game decide that my personal bots aren't enough? And why? What is the criteria? Amount of items compared to the number of my bots (times bot carry capacity)? Or something else?
    2. Where do the base logistics network bots carry the items they removed? If I just put a certain type of chest next to me on the floor - will they all put all the items right there? I've placed storage and buffer chests in random locations in my base but these bots never seem to go to the nearest one.. or even the same one. I just can't figure out their pattern ...

    Pretty much the same issue I have when building bigger layouts... my personal bots construct it just partially. The rest I gotta wait for the base logistics network bots to do. Why? And what's the cutoff?

    Archipelagos ?

    Hi, I'm kinda new to the game (40hours on my first play and I will soon send my first rocket ), I saw some nice maps on reddit that seemed like several island and archipelagos, is there a way to make the map looks like this ? I mean "automatically", I want to keep the surprise for when I play the game

    Question about trains & signals

    Overview: using 11/60 trains to haul science from production in the top left to the labs in the bottom right.

    I realize I need to signal at crossings and mergers, but do I need to place signals along the long stretches of rail between the production and labs, and if so, why? and do those stretches need to be as long as the 11/60 train or can they be shorter?
