Dont ever start two factory-type games in the same week Posted: 01 Feb 2021 11:16 AM PST A week ago I bought Dyson Sphere Project and I put 30 hours in - almost a full work week. This is usual for this type of game I've heard so I cant say I wasn't warned. DSP was my first factory type game. BUT THEN I got this incredibly stupid idea to try out factorio because I thought maybe I'd get my hands on the game that started it all while DSP continues development. Well yeah... factorio happens to be great too. I bought it last night and I'm at 6 hours already. No signs of stopping either game. Anyways yeah dont start two factory games at once. your life will literally fall apart [link] [comments]

How much spm is enough for the No Spoon achievement? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 02:49 AM PST I really wanna do the There is no spoon achievement on my own, without any optimized blueprints or all too many tips. But I really wanna know one thing: How much spm do I need to make and what is ideal? If I go overboard I'll spend too much time building science production and not enough time expanding everything else and if I produce to little I won't get all the science in time. What's the perfect balance? [link] [comments]

Feature Request: bulk copy train schedules in the train menu with shift rightclick / shift leftclick Posted: 01 Feb 2021 09:35 PM PST Oftentimes I want to add another station or a different condition to all my trains that do job XYZ, but I have like 10 or more trains on this job. Normally I would have to find every one of them and shift right click and shift left click on the trains to set the new configuration. Ideally I would just copy the configuration I want from the train menu and within that train menu paste the new config on all trains with the old schedule. Also, it would be cool to toggle if you want to group the trains just by path or have subgroups for trains with different conditions. But anyway, I like the new train menu very much :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:18 AM PST Has anyone done a comparison of train grids with a roundabout at the junctions compared to say an intersection that doesn't allow left turns? I'm working on my first rail grid base and curious if the reduced blockage makes up for longer paths. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:16 AM PST My guess is no, but I thought I'd ask - I loaded up a savegame for a very advanced base, just so I could see what was possible. I wasn't even thinking about achievements. Of course, my screen almost immediately filled with achievements earned from that save game. Is there any way to reset them? I don't even mind resetting my own achievements from prior, there wasn't much that I can't replicate easily. [link] [comments]

Anyone else really enjoy watching the menu screen clips? Posted: 01 Feb 2021 10:53 AM PST They have to be one of my favourite bits of flavour in the game. I hope they add more in updates yet to come. [link] [comments]
How did you learn how to use the circuits and the programmable stuff in factorio? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:35 AM PST Hey guys! So I'm getting into factorio once again and wanted to learn about the color circuits, as i like to call them because i don't remember the real name. So let me ask you. How did you manage to learn such a seemingly complicated stuff? Did you use a guide? If so, which one? [link] [comments]
OMG how do you make tapeline more transparent? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:20 AM PST I can't figure out this CC color code business for the tapeline mod. Not sure why I should have to have a degree in Javascript just to use a mod. How do I get a transparent color that doesn't block the things I'm building from view? Google isn't helping, thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Higher capacity four-way train intersection? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:14 AM PST I'm using LTN and the main problem is a bottleneck entering the depot where all the trains return too. I have about 50 or so of them going. I think the main problem is that only 1 single train will enter the intersection at 1 time. Even if their paths were not going to cross. Not sure how to fix that since it has a circle and sometimes they use it to a U-turn. Tried a few different signal combos and I must not be looking at it right because I had trains crashing into each other. These ones seem to be safe but slow. Here are my intersections. Intersection 2. Attempt to improve. Intersection 3. Does it need signals in turn? Uploaded my whole book. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:11 AM PST I'm about to finish my second vanilla playthrough. I'm playing with a friend and i was already thinking about a new run using some mods to extend the endgame a bit with some new and cool stuff. I' ve already searched a bit and i was thinking on Krastorio 2 (K2) + Space Exploration (SE). They say that they are compatible together but in some thread i read that SE is so different that is better to leave it without others big mods. I'd really like to try SE so i'm trying to figure out if it's worth with K2 or not. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:50 AM PST I've been playing Factorio for a while now, and am wondering... If I only try one... Would you recommend I try Satisfactory or Dyson Sphere Program next? If relevant, as a Factorio player I am a "try crazy builds" person over a "pure and unadulterated efficiency" person. I've enjoyed playing multiplayer (a plus for Satisfactory?), but single player is OK if the game is truly superior. [link] [comments]
