I didn't quit! Pushed to 1k+ SPM (Base Tour) Posted: 04 Feb 2021 06:24 AM PST You might remember me from nearing the end of my playthrough. Well, I pushed on through science and janked my way to 1k (even 1.5k?) SPM Video Tour (long... and riddled with ADHD... but I added chapters) If you want to build anticipation (and have a lot of free time), check out base tour #2 in the playlist to see where I was right when I was about to quit (the first time). Since the most recent video I've expanded a lot more, smoothed out the trains a bit, and pushed it to around 2k+ SPM. It's been nice to fix each outpost's bottle neck. Currently, I think I'm starting to hit UPS issues. Mega Oil used to put out a strong 8 belts of plastic, but now even with full inputs it doesn't anymore. Which is hurting my current bottle neck of Yellow science running out because not enough LDS because not enough plastic to LDS... It certainly doesn't help that I raided OilTron for Sulfuric Acid for the battery outpost which drastically cut OilTron's plastic output.... but then again OilTron was never meant for plastic in the first place.... Hopefully I can record another "quick" tour of how things are going now and get some input on any low hanging UPS fruit. Apologies for poor video capture quality... I'm definitely not a youtuber/content creator (there was much debate on whether to make the videos public or leave them as unlisted). [link] [comments] | ||

trouble with inserters and backed up conveyors Posted: 04 Feb 2021 07:46 AM PST hi! I'm encountering this really frustrating problem where my inserters are not inserting resources into assemblers because the conveyor is already completely full of resources required. I don't get it, the resources are there, but apparently, too many resources on a conveyor is a problem for the inserter and it doesn't do anything. so I'm wasting huge amounts of time constantly "unclogging" the conveyors so a bit of assembly can happen only for them to clog back up after a few minutes and then the inserters stop working (they work just fine when resources are moving on the conveyor, i.e. when resources are less available). I'm really perplexed by this because it only ever seems to happen with assemblers (I'm only that far tech-wise sofar), if I just pop down an inserter and a box it'll throw resources in the box just fine regardless of how clogged up the conveyor is. to clarify, I've separated my resources onto individual conveyors so it's not a case of an over influx of one resource and another is simply unable to be accessed by the inserters, no, the resources are all there accessible by the inserters, they're just not doing anything. Or you only play and the changes comes as well you play. If you use methods, can you mention it?, i'm curious because im studying the career (im in the middle, barely appear the first really realted subjets) and the idea of present a model or use factorio in a project really likes me. Steam syncs it over to my desktop, resume there, poof my entire inventory is gone. Does it have something to do with the fact that my game shows a different name when I log into my desktop? On my laptop it shows my steam name ingame, but on my desktop it shows the factorio name which I have no idea how to change. [link] [comments] | ||
