    Here is how 1 Red-Green-Blue science/second looks on expensive recipes/researchs with near perfect ratios without excessive smelting. You can see abondened black science in middle and a small part from preparations for yellow science on right-top corner.

    After playing the demo version, I bought the full game and started a Freeplay with default settings. Set up stone, iron and coal. Nearby was three biter nests. I then got a warning that my pollution was too high and I was swarmed. Managed to kill 6 bugs before I died. Uncalled for but freaking hillarious.

    Was this just RNG that worked against me or do I have to expand much slower and focus more on defense?

    Created my first mini mall without using other peoples blueprints!

    It might not be much for most but to me it's a huge leap! I've always used other peoples blueprints (KatherineOfSky hello!) but I figured I'd try to make my own. It's a lot of fun, wow! The ratios are waaaay off but as long as I can grab a quick belt, splitter or turret I'm happy for now.

    Would food or consumable supply chains be possible to mod?

    I'm unfamiliar with the modding methods for Factorio. But I'm curious about something. Would there be a way to implement a 'food' chain or other consumable chain? I was thinking of a scenario in which after you launch your rockets, you discover a civilization on another planet that needs these things or something like that.

    Raw resources such as fish and cattle, crops and such to different facilities for production.

    Apple trees that can be processed into apple juice, but you have to make the cartons so plastic would be used.

    Bread but you need wheat. Corn for products and feed for cattle or some sort of domesticated biter, etc.

    Maybe after leaving the planet you join the galactic economy and fulfill orders or something. I don't know, just something I was thinking about and if it was possible.

    Spidertrons Getting Slowed by Acid

    I'm playing on the experimental version, and it looks like the slowing effects from biter acid now affects the spidertron. Not sure I agree with this, or understand the point.

    Right now I'm clearing huge swaths of land for an upcoming megabase, and I have about 15 spiders equipped with rockets set to follow the main "tank" spider. But even the tank takes heavy damage and requires a fair bit of micromanaging just to survive after being slowed to nearly a standstill by the acid.

    I really like the addition of the Spidertron and especially the "automated" shift-pathing and following mechanics, they're extremely useful for clearing land. I just feel at such a late stage I'd like for the spiders to truly trivialize the biter threat.

    Still very much a work in progress, but has most things covered. Should be good enough to get close to a rocket launch. Not tested in battle yet, but that is my next mission.

    I might have gone overboard with red circuits, however once I start grabbing 100 stack inserters at a time it might seem a smart move.

    Games for fans of Factorio?

    I've been playing Factorio for over two years now, and by far it's one of my favourite games of all time. The gameplay is simply unlike any other, the graphics are my favourite of any game out there, the music is awesome, everything about it is on another level. I just yearn to experience the feeling of playing it for the first time, which made me wonder what other gems may be hidden out there

    So, as fans of Factorio, what other games do you think I'd enjoy? I've already played Satisfactory (which I do recommend) and I've played a couple of Factorio mods but it wouldn't hurt to recommend any you've enjoyed in case I haven't heard about them.

    Thank you all sincerely for all the recommendations. I'll try my best to check them all out and I'm confident I won't be bored for a long time.

    Although these aren't really related to Factorio (all the good stuff has already been recommended below), two games I've personally enjoyed are Frostpunk and kingdoms and castles. The former is a sort of city building survival game and the latter is a simple and very charming kingdom building game. I thought I might as well recommend something myself

    You know, funny thing is, I actually discovered Factorio through one of Jacksepticeye's videos on Satisfactory when he described it as "3d factorio" which made me search for it, and bam, an instant favourite.
