Since the devs are reworking the sound, Can we pls get the new artillery sound that they teased about 1,5 years ago?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST

about 1,5 years ago they teased some new artillery sounds in an FFF, It sounded awesome but we never got it in an update. I dont know why but since they are now reworking the sounds it makes sense to include it.

Am I reading the electricity consumption/production charts correctly?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 03:00 AM PST

The satisfaction meter is varying but the production is full at 9MW, the satisfaction meter is at about half so that would mean 4.5MW (both meters say 9MW at the end) It sounds like Im making twice as much as I need, but hovering over the elec poles shows that Im only making half of what I need. Am I readiing this correctly? Never really bothered before because both bars were full, but now I want to switch to solar and have noticed the bar dropping. Thanks

    To the sky and beyond!

Finally, after almost 47 hours, I've launched my first rocket!

This is my ugly unefficient factory and if I've learned one lesson, is that you never have enough space to build as you planed ...

The New Building Destroyed Alert and Robo Alert Sounds Are... A Little Hard To Get Used To

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 01:53 AM PST

With the overhaul in the audio of the game it's becoming very difficult to know what are new contruction/factory sounds and what are the robo/building destroyed alert sounds. I was walking around for ~~5 minutes~~ 60 seconds trying to isolate a sound before I realised that three of my mining outposts had been eaten! I was far away so I'd have lost most of it anyway so I didn't reload. But future attacks have left me looking for the source of the noise again. It just... doesn't sound like an alert. It sounds like something being contructed or hit.

I know I'll probably get used to it but unlike the last time when it was changed from a klaxon alarm to a much more unique and practical sound that registered every structure death (which was WAY better) this seems like a move backwards.

Edit: OK I actually don't know what the noise I'm hearing is anymore. I thought it was robo related but I just heard it when a bot went to repair something.

    Batteries keeping their charge

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 02:27 AM PST

I am not sure if this was posted somewhere before. Once again I started playing Factorio and some features are getting in my way to enjoy the game more and more. One of the issues is that batteries don't keep their charge. In the instant that you take them out of the power armor grid, they lose it. This always bothered me that I just wanted to rearrange my equipment and after that, I have to wait so long for my solar panels to recharge the batteries. This is mainly the mid-game issue, but I spend a lot of time in this phase and the great feeling of upgrading your armor for better one with a bigger grid is somewhat diminished with the knowledge of tedious waiting for my batteries to recharge. It wouldn't have to be an automatic feature, having it earned by research would be awesome.
