    I love this game, my only concern is that it's an apparently hostile and evil looking bug race of aliens that attack you as you expand.

    I'd much rather have some innocent and cute bunny looking race that just want to defend their homes against the exploits of the invading humans so you as a player need to commit genocide on these cute things in order to expand.

    Edit: If anyone actually decides this is a good idea for a mod, I'd rather see it that it follows the art direction of the game so they don't look entirely out of place.

    TIP: You can press Q while hovering a placed item (belt, assembler, pole etc) to put it on the cursor as the selected item.

    Most of you probably already know that pressing Q deselects the current item on the mouse cursor. Finding out about this new function changed the way I play Factorio. With it and the shortcut bar, it is now much less common for me to open my inventory.

    Here goes a few observations:

    • It works with any item as long as you have additional copies inside your inventory.
    • You need to have the mouse cursor with no selected item, otherwise pressing Q will deselect it (as mentioned).
    • When in scenario mode, where you have any item, it is useful to switch items to be placed rapidly.

    I'm looking for a guide for using Train Supply Manager mod, which would be recent enough to cover the case of multiple _producer_ stations (where TSM also deals with sending empty trains to supply stations to fill them up). Hopefully something shorter and more condensed than a typical youtube playthrough. I guess that my concerns can be addressed in 10-20 minutes of video, so no point in watching several hours of someone playing the game to find these things [;

    I had an interest in this game well over 4 years now, I researched into it because Markiplier made an amazing playlist of the game. At this time I was only 13, I had no money, no job, no allowance, but I really wanted to play this amazing game with such a wonderful community, unseen anywhere else, I wanted to be a part of that. I always had an interest in automation thanks to Modded/Vanilla Minecraft, this game was perfect for me.

    Sooooooo, like the dumb 13-year old I was, I pirated the game. and I felt really bad because the team behind this masterpiece deserves every $ they get. I played the game a lot and watched a lot of xterminator.

    I recently got a job a few months ago, so, I wanted to give back in away. I bought the game, and I felt fking awesome doing it. all I can say is

    Thank you, developers, for making me what I am now, thanks to this game, I gained an interest in electronics, and I got pretty damn good at it, in may I'm going to Skills Ontario for a competition about this subject.

    I wish there was another way I can repay you guys, I would go in-dept for you guys. <3

    How to progress to megabase

    Hey,

    So I'm for the first time going to transition to a megabase and I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm just about to automate purple science and then launch the rocket. but I've already started thinking about how to go further. I just don't know the best way of starting that process.

    Do I go somewhere else and just build bigger? Do I tear down parts of my base and expand outwards?

    What have you done before when you've moved into the MB? I'm looking for your experiences so I can make a decision.

    Does anyone have any tips in making that transition?

    When bots are the reason your game is gonna crash. Currently running at 15fps, i have 90 fps normally. 12281 logistic bots and 51496 construction bots. I'd like to think I don't have too many bots...

    Wasted space science?

    Quick questin:
    If you have a rocket silo, which is set to automatically start with cargo and you have an inserter wich feeds it with satellites, will the inserter place a satellite in the silo, if there is so much science in it, that it will be discarded?

    Basically I want to know, if i can have an automated rocket silo or if i have to install a control system so no science gets wasted.
