Adding Natural gas to the game would make for some very cool opportunities

    Posted: 18 Feb 2020 01:27 PM PST

I've been working with an LNG (liquified natural gas) company for a while now, and I must say, implementing it into a game would make for some interesting mechanics.

It would all start with extracting natural gas from the ground by using fracking: which would use a new building that requires water.

Next you have two options: compress it or liquify it. After compressing it (now CNG), you could send it straight to a new type of turbine that is more efficient and clean than solid-burning furnaces. Air would be the working fluid instead of water or steam.

The other option would be to liquify it. This would compress the amount of CNG or Natural has ( gotta work it out) by a factor of 1000x or more. Then you would transport this a very long distance by train, in order to be transferred into a tank next to a mining outpost. The LNG would then have to be vaporized into CNG using ambient or gas-fired heaters (which are faster than ambient vaporizers but consume 5% of the LNG) and would be sent to a nearby CNG generator.

    Thoughts?

I did the whole rocket research and assembly in a panic of behemoths popping up

I'm gonna go play one without pollution

    My Uranium Processing Plant

    Posted: 18 Feb 2020 10:05 PM PST

If you disconnect a copper cable from two power poles, you should get 1 copper cable.

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 05:26 AM PST

I have to have all my power lines line up, be parallel and perfect. it sucks, but I have to have it that way so naturally, I do a lot of cable cutting and rerouting. Even in blueprints, the cables get messed up just by the nature of the order of operations by the bots. It's a small complaint, but seems like an obvious fix.
