Devs: You forgot to update sales to 2M on your website Posted: 15 Feb 2020 05:23 AM PST Hello, u/FactorioTeam, just a small suggestion - I just noticed that the About the game text on the homepage of factorio.com hasn't been updated with your recent milestone of 2 million players. It still shows the old value of 1.5M. I get that 1.5M is already quite a lot, and the marketing importance may not be so big anymore as when you were in your first few hundred thousand. But still, 2M sales is a pretty impressive achievement, so I'd claim those bragging rights. :p Also, you might update it in this list on Wikipedia (hopefully your official announcement would be a good enough source), where it'd put you in the top 100 best-selling PC games ever. (Which you could then show to anyone claiming it's "just an indie game".) Not sure if / how much you're interested in this kind of self-promotion, but IMO you've earned it. :) [link] [comments] | ||

It's creepy how my base is reflective of my personality Posted: 15 Feb 2020 06:12 AM PST - once I have found something that works I tend to blindly copy it to other areas and make slight adaptations (made 4 templates for 1/2/3/4 material imput automation, and simply copied them over and over) - a lot of different kinds of knowledge but it's all interconnected in some chaotic way (spaghetti between automation stations) - i start almost OCD structured, but as soon as I can smell my goal I throw all structure overboard while chasing the end. (my light oil pipes are a friggin mess, but yeah, rocket fuel!) Do you have the same? [link] [comments] | ||

This would be very handy as I sometimes hit ctrl+z too many times, sometimes whatever it undid is not where I am working, good fun for future me to fix. I could get away with an option in the deconstruction planner to 'cancel deconstruction' most of the time. Both would actually be really amazing. I'm hoping that due to my ignorance there may be a mod or hidden commands someone knows about. Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||
